Oh gosh, no, no, I didn't place an order and pay a $313 shipping fee.

I got a smaller bag of one item and paid a $263 shipping fee.

Please, let's not talk about it.

 Wink

The whole sum of it really isn't much more than what I'd have to pay for items that I buy imported and bought here (one 2.5 kg bag of Orijen costs me about $60 plus local shipping, one 374 gr can of Innova Evo costs me about $3.50).  And if I can find something else healthy that they truly like, that would be so worth it.

(Trying to convince myself here.  Help me out, please.  LOL.)

August- Please check the shipping costs for us to mail from here. Its got to be cheaper than that ! I know I'm usually at at least 2-3 feed or pet food stores every few weeks anyway & I don't even feed commercial pf. The post office here is on my way out to anywhere I go. I will happily spend a few minutes saving you 100's in s&h costs.

You're so generous.  Thank you for such a kind offer.

I just hope they'll like something out of the order!  (Besides the toys LOL.)

Can give you a quick breakdown on shipping cost (I used to sell on Ebay - International sales to Canada, UK, Ireland, Lithuania, etc) - IF you give us the general weight of the package?

I kept increasing items and decreasing items to see when the shipping costs meter would change.  It was driving me nuts LOL.

If I'm paying for all that shipping, I figured I'd try to buy as much as I could for the lowest shipping I could get it to be.   Cheesy

Lemme see here.........there.  It's about 30 pounds.

OMG.  LOL.  I almost wish I didn't calculate that.

By the way, I'm trying out BG and Taste of the Wild.   Cheesy  (And three others  Roll Eyes  )

Alright - using USPS site @ 31 lbs.

Express MailĀ® International (Pretty Fast 5 Dayx): $175.50

Priority MailĀ® International (6 - 10 Days) : $138.00

Add $20 to $25 for 35 lbs.

You are paying for their labor, etc., and getting a slower shipping method.

P.S. Insurance is included in the prices, I believe appropriate boxes are free.

Ahhhhhh, feels so bad.

Wink

Thanks for going to the trouble to give me that info!  I'll have better sense if/when I order next time.

Much appreciation!

Don't feel bad - most folks don't know (and get overcharged for S&H - as a profit center).

You just need friends.  Grin

I'm just on my way out for an overnight business trip so I'm in a rush, but I wanted to get your advice.

It seems everyone here has suddenly gotten really tired of Orijen.  They're eating it but very reluctantly.  Because they eat less dry, they eat less wet.

I'm sure they just need a break from it and then we can go back to it later.

I have no idea when my overseas shipment of new grain-free dry will be coming...do I try to stretch it out until then, or do you think I should break open the Artemis or Innova dry that I have in a box ready to donate?

I would try adding 1 of the other kibbles & see if that helps. You already have it there so why not try it.

I'd second that. I woudln't fuss too much about having grain containing kibble as a small temporary part of their diet if none of the cats has known sensitivity or problems with grains.

And as for the shipping, Onlynaturalpetshop shipping charges are outrageous, and shipping is much slower compared to Petsage. However, those of us who are not in US have somewhat limited options where to order from, and some items cannot be found at Petsage, unfortunately.

I just wish there would be grain-free UK made dry. I always found shipping costs to Asia from UK a lot more reasonable than from US.

I appreciate your quick responses.  Thank you.

I put out some Artemis and Chami happily ate it and quite a bit of the Evo wet she'd been ignoring.

I'm off for my overnight now!

I've been leaving out some Orijen and some Artemis.

Here's a pleasant surprise -- I thought for sure everyone would go berserk to have their grain kibble back........... and they actually aren't.  They're still going for the Orijen (or the freeze-dried chicken that is crumbled on top LOL).

Nevertheless, merely having that other kibble out seems to have upped the value on Orijen.   Wink  Go figure.  I'm looking forward to our delivery of other grain-free dry.

Hmm.  Lulu was mildly constipated this evening (meaning it took her longer than usual to get her #2 out, and it was fairly small).  I wonder if it was just fluke, or if it's having grains back in her diet.  She never had problems with grains in the past, but it's a been a number of months since having dry with grains.

I guess we'll see how it goes for a couple more days.

I hope that delivery comes soon.   Undecided
