I'm sorry you had this problem, but really ? Evangers ? Have you read the threads here ? If you are asking how to speak to the Shers you'd better get an attorney. Speaking from nasty personal experience any communication with them or their employees will be a huge problem. God forbid you ask for a refund, that results in extortion accusations and people following you around on the internet.

Here are a few of the threads. They are in no particular order. I just posted them as they came up in the search function. There are more, but didn't post them.

Hey you two thanks  I appreciate the concern

In short I AM JUST trying to let others know about this experience...I have used the food 4 years never an issue on this dog food ALL MEAT kind. I have been a member since the site started day 1 so yes i  have read all the good and bad on all foods.

Again I appreciate the posts and concern but my only reason for posting this is to let others know about the current issue..I  do recall wayyy back a few people DID speak with the owners...I want to do the same to JUST let them know this is an issue with this batch..what the owners do with that info is up to them...I am not here to bash a food. Just report the issue and alert others.

If you think its mold, it might not hurt to report that thru the FDA portal, in case you report it to the company and they decide to do nothing about it or try to bury the report.  If FDA hadnt been dealing with this company off and on for quite awhile now it might not be as concerning but I would think they would want to know what you found.  I seem to remember they had their permit taken away for a while in 2009, due to problems with their process that could result in under-cooked food.  It could be an issue with more than just your cans.  You might want to keep the can you have in case FDA wants it.  Anyhow, just an idea.

I didn't mean to upset anyone by posting the links, just thought that they should be posted for new readers that may not be aware that this company has a history of having problems with their canning process.

SandyBeach, did you happen to take a picture of the black stuff in the cans?

OK I am back with an update..yes it was reported to the FDA and I do have 3 pictures none great I will post one here.....I today spoke with Brett who said he is the quality control person for dog food....he too asked for a picture. He seemed like a very young but nice guy. Said on the gel they add only less than 1% of Guar Gum..then he said that was nothing you can be allergic to...um not so...than he said when I asked why the Guar Gum was not listed on the can..that if it is not listed then it's not the guar gum that it could be from not being heated enough or liquid....On the BLACK stuff he said sometimes beef can cook black...but um I have fed this food for many years ...JUST for his pills really and never saw black...also my husband grew up on a dairy farm they ate cows too...never saw cooked food that black....Then I told the guy my husband thinks it's mold...we kinda still do...and he said that would only be on the top or sides of the can...I dunno I liked him as a person and he sure spent a lot of time talking ...but frankly I do not think he nor Gina took this too seriously nor did they seem to have any solid answers...he didn't seem to want the can of food.....oh and he also said it could be dye they use to mark the beef..now that could be..maybe....but usually they use blue .....and this is just ...I don't know..not any of that I am wondering if the FDA will ever want this food cause its been in my fridge and I want to toss it it smells..My dog will now take his meds with human food....maybe cheese but not this stuff..Its sad as I have liked the beef and liver for a LONG time....anyhow thats my update
