I'd like to start a list of any pet food that claim to have no GMOs, and whether dog or cat food.  If you know of any, please add yours, with a link to their statement if possible.

Reminder:  Check individual products as companies may produce both organic and non-organic products.

My short list so far:

Wellness (dog and cat foods)

-------------------------------------

Newman's Oganics (dog and cat foods)

(These were NOT part of the recall, other Blue Buffalo products were recalled:  http://www.bluebuff.com/news/news-070426.shtml

---------------------------

Non-GMO

Says no GMO's on the bar on the right side under Holistic & Hypoallergenic.

------------------------------

Eric,

Yes, I thought I did, but I can't locate the thread at the moment.  We've started talking about GMOs again and I want the info readily available.  Can't find my list of grain-free ones either.

Some of the By Nature products carry the USDA Organic seal.  I think I remember reading that by definition USDA Organic means no GMOs?  Correct me if I am wrong.  I can't find any statement on their website, though.  They have organic-labelled products for both dogs and cats.

Yes, that is my understanding.  (Somebody let me know if that is not correct)  Guess I'll amend the title here.

Here is the original thread on GMO free pet foods, although some of the posts may have been lost.  http://itchmoforums.com/your-problems-with-pet-food/pet-foods-that-do-not-contain-gmos-t2288.0.html;msg30491#msg30491

I came across a Blue Buffalo ad with a line of organic pet food. So I went to their website and found this:

http://www.bluebuff.com/products/dogs/organics.shtml

So I hope the organic seals do have some merit. I have emailed them asking if they are GMO free.

If you have links where they claim to use no-GMOs and/or USDA organic, give me the links I will add them to the top of the thread.

Here is a paragraph from the honest kitchen site and the link where it states no GMO...

Wilbur,

Sorry, I forgot.  I get distracted very easily.   Wink

I have 10 cats, 2 dogs, a full-time job which I work 7 days a week, a household to run, boards to moderate, 2 snow and ice storms, and a partridge in a pear tree.

I'll try and review and research the posts on Monday.
