Dogs are getting ill and dying from eating chicken strips made in China.  As most dogs love this treat, they were sold everywhere including populare wholesale grocers.  Why isn't this issue being addressed by the fda?  Walmart quietly took their products off the shelf in July.  I didn't know this till today which is over 2 weeks later.  I think all brands of this product from china should be suspect until it is proven safe for our dogs.  Please get this product off the shelves and make the BUYER BEWARE!!

Ok, that's it.......the remaining chicken strips I have left from a bag I bought in Costco eons ago is going in the trash.  Although my baby girl has shown no signs of any illness, I only give her one strip a day......I could be poisoning her more slowly.  What a terrible thought.  I've read enough in the last couple of days about treats made in China.

This pretty much does it for doggie treats.......I have looked & looked & just about every treat I have found is made in China.  Maybe they should rot on the shelves & then they'll get the hint that we don't want to kill our dogs with China's s**t.  Because so much has been moved over there, I see no way of them bringing production back here.  Which means no more commercial doggie treats I guess.

I did find a bag of Nathan's hot dog treats for dogs......made with human grade ingredients.  Very small bag for nearly $4 but I bought them anyway.  Hannah about bit my fingers off......& came running back looking for more.  If you do find them & don't thoroughly scour labels, they need to go in the fridge after you open them. Does anyone know where to get the chicken strips tested?  Our dog got extremely ill after eating a treat we bought from Whole Foods and only later noticed in small print that it was made in China.  Although it wasn't specifically recalled, we are concerned...we had to rush to an emergency clinic and get him fluids, antibiotics, etc after a day of violent diarrhea and vomiting.  Any advice on where to get such items tested?
Any info will be appreciated.

imduf, you can probably check with your vet to have the treats cultured.  Many people think it's salmonella causing the illness.  For toxins, many of us have used ExperTox.  They have a website - www.expertox.com - with contact info.
Good luck!

If you use a state Ag. Dept. lab ask if they test for pesticides , it is my understanding some do not. I agree with Mrs.P. expertox is probably one of if not the best one to use.
