Seems it is out of stock in entire Hong Kong, unknown when the next shipment will arrive and it is also on back order in online stores I've been using. Anybody else has a problem finding it?
Not particularly urgent, since I am now feeding Serengeti and then Orijen comes next (both kibbles mixed with Ziwipeak), but I am a little bit worried about it being unknown when will it be available, and also if they are unable to keep up with the demand whether there will be any drop in quality.

Last time I went into my local petfood store (not one of the big box stores), I noticed that the Serengetti spot on the dry foods shelf was empty. That was two weeks ago, though. I didn't aks about it them - just noticed that it must be very popular to have all been sold out.

I don't use it but noticed this past weekend that the Serengeti spot in a large store was occupied by other food. No Serengeti to be seen. (I always kind of take a cat food inventory when I am there.)

Has anyone who feeds this e-mailed or called the company? Seems to be the best source of info about why it isn't available.

Darn, I was going to look today and I forgot to see if they had Serengeti in stock. The feed store I go to is almost out of or out of a lot of stuff otherwise.

Thanks, I'll e_mail them and ask, just wanted to check if this difficulty to find it is a local phenomenon or not.
Well, it will definitely make my kitties happy to have more Orijen if I can't find Serengeti. Though Mitzie likes it so much she eats a lot of it and gains weight, while her weight is stable on Serengeti. I guess I'll just put more Ziwpeak in the mix when I change back to Orijen.

I used to find smaller bags of serengeti, but now its just these huge bags. I only feed a little bit of dry food. Store says they are'nt sending the smaller bags. Its still my favorite dry cat food brand.

Got e_mail from them, they say it is delay in bag printing, formula will not change and should be available again by the end of this month.
That was really quick response, though I am a bit surprised that this bag printing is still an issue.

See! I knew it had something to do with the bag - the images printed of cheetahs and lions and other big cats... could be interpreted as "misleading" (by other petfood companies - I was never mislead ) So, no change in formula, ah? Then I suppose the cassein will still be in it. Cats like this kibble, but Kaffe gets mucosy poops from cassein... pity. Its a great kibble otherwise.

I saw some 4lb bags in a small store I visited today, no others. They were the silver bags--I don't know if that the is old bag or the new bag.

They are out of Serengeti at my local store also. I asked about it today and was told it maybe a long while before we see it back on the shelves. All they could tell me was that it was a problem w/production, perhaps due to the bag printing already mentioned.
