My order of Spirit Essences has arrived so I would like to review it as I use it.  I got the 1 ounce bottles and the free spray top.

As I've mentioned before, I'm a total non-believer of this type of thing but because I have so much belief in Jackson Galaxy, I feel this strange sense of security (that it at the very least won't harm my cats).

http://www.spiritessences.com/product-p/ultimate-peacemaker.htm

What I got
Ultimate Peacemaker comes with:
Peacemaker - to ease conflicts between animals
Bully Remedy - to reduce dominant tendencies in 'bully' animals
Self-Esteem Remedy - helps victim animals stand up for themselves

Who will get what
I will be using the spray with Peacemaker and will spray around the "trouble" or popular areas.
I will be using Bully Remedy on Wednesday.
I will be using Self-Esteem Remedy on Lulu and Jazza.

Application
There are many ways to "apply" Spirit Essences and I am going to be using it by rubbing it in my hands and then on to them (except for the Peacemaker which I will spray).  I don't quite feel comfortable putting it in their food or water so I will not be doing that (for fear that they'll pick up on a smell or taste and then not want to eat/drink).

I am to apply it (at first) 3~4 times a day for two weeks.

DAY 1
Rubbed the Bully Remedy in my hands and it pretty much feels like water.  If I put my nose to the bottle there is a verrrry slight alcohol scent but nothing that bothers me (I'd say I'm sensitive to scent and don't use hardly anything with scent in my home).  I rubbed it on Wednesday and he had no reaction positive or negative to it.  After I finished petting him a few seconds, my hands felt as if I hadn't put anything on them (nothing remotely oily or drying or anything).

I tasted the Self-Esteem and tasted nothing.  Will pet it onto Lulu and Jazza when they wake up.

I spritzed the Peacemaker here and there on the 3rd floor, and also at the 2nd floor cat door.

For now it's the same way I feel about when I first bought Feliway.  I have no idea if it works but it gives me this sense of energy that I'm moving forward and doing something positive.

(DAY 1)

NOTICED CHANGE
I just went down to the 2nd floor to give Lulu a 3rd petting with Self-Esteem.

This is the first time since the ambush that she is sleeping out in the open and not in her safety basket in the closet (in the bay window on a cardboard sofa next to her sister Chami).

Could be coincidence.  I can hardly imagine it's the remedy ... but worth noting, just in case.

It will be very interesting to see whether it works or not!  Good, though, it hear that Lulu is doing better.

DAY 2

Though I spray the kitty grass every day with a similar type of spritz bottle, Friday is so scared of the Spirit Essences spray bottle sound that I am now thinking to stop using the spray and use the dropper to apply the Peacemaker (which is meant for everyone) to favorite spots.

DAY 3

Nothing much to report yet but thought I'd mention that Wednesday, Jazza and Lulu have no qualms at all about my petting the Spirit Essences onto their fur.  As soon as I pet it on, they sniff the air a bit so I know they know something is going on, but they don't react negatively whatsoever.

Last night literally a few seconds after I put it on Wednesday, he went straight up to Jazza and did his chin-down-evil-eye-I'm-standing-taller-than-you bit ... Jazza growled but did not run (possibly because I was right there) and nothing happened.

I've decided on 3 drops x 4 times a day and have been (secretly) spritzing favorite beds a few times a day.

DAY 4

NOTICED CHANGE

Last night Tuesday went straight up to Jazza and sniffed her head.  Under usual circumstances, she would not allow that kind of thing (would hiss and run)... but she stood still and let the sniffing happen.  It was uneventful -- which was eventful.

This morning I opened the 2nd floor door for myself to go back to my room, and Tuesday and Wednesday were waiting out in the hallway.  Lulu was at the door and she seemed curious to take a look out as she sometimes does.  Her usual response is to look outside, see orange, hiss and run away ... however this morning's response was absolutely nothing.  I stood at the doorway in between Lulu and Tuesday & Wednesday (as I have in the past).  They all looked at each other and not one of them made any moves, noises, facial expressions -- nothing.  I'd say that's significant.

DAY 8

Of course there are many variables happening, but obviously nobody is selling the Spirit Essences as a "magic potion."  Anyway, things are going very well.

Wednesday, Jazza and Lulu continue to seem to even enjoy my applying the Spirit Essences on them.  I don't know if they see it as some kind of extra attention or what, but they really do look like they are happy for me to pet it onto them.  It's like rubbing some water into their fur, but they sniff the air and sometimes want to lick my hands.

Jazza is still making a fuss and growling at everyone even though nobody is aiming to do anything to her.

Wednesday has been in a lovey-dovey stage.  I don't know what is making him so, but he's been quite peaceful.  I wonder if one reason (aside from the possible Spirit Essences) may be because he has been completely locked out from the 2nd floor, so he has not had reason to be really wound up.

Along the same line, Lulu (and Chami, and even Yoyo who has been on the 2nd floor a lot) all seem much calmer and more playful, and really in very good moods.

So tonight I decided to "push the comfort zone" some.  After dinner I closed the 2nd floor closet/safety area and I took Tuesday with me and we spent a couple hours on the 2nd floor with the 3 Larges.  It was surprisingly uneventful.

There was no hissing, no running, no grimacing.

There was a tiny bit of staring from Tuesday (who seemed a tiny bit nervous) but after that wore off, things were incredibly peaceful.  Tuesday smelled around the room a bunch but then was soon falling asleep on the floor on his back with his tummy exposed.  Chami asked for an evening tummy rub which I found surprising because I wouldn't have thought she'd feel comfortable with Tuesday there.  Lulu walked around some and then settled into a cardboard sofa at the bay window.

Near the end of the evening, I could hear Sunday wanting to come in, so I let her in.  Again, incredibly uneventful.  She patrolled the area and Chami allowed some tail sniffing.

August, I've ordered "Nervous Nelly" from Spirit Essences for my Annie (for those who remember, yes, she's still here and doing a bit better.  My vet gave her a lion's cut which I know has helped.  Of course, there was enough hair on the floor to make another cat!).  Anyway, I hope Nervous Nelly helps her temperament.  I don't expect miracles but am hoping for the best.

I'll let you know how it goes.

Yes, please let me know, macush!  It sounds like something that could benefit Isis, too.  Glad to hear the haircut has helped Annie.

Please check that this is safe to use on cats.  It says it (Nervous Nelly) is formulated for dogs and horses.

Oh Lord Spartycats -- I didn't see that.  I will check into it right away.  Thanks much for noticing.
