Hello everyone. I am new to the group and am a proud parent of 2 American Pit Bull Terriers. I placed a picture of them up over in the The Den section of the forum.

I have a new dog treat company that I would love to share with the Itchmo community. Puritydog produces all natural, healthy and delicious treats for dogs. They are all made in the US and contain no preservatives, artificial colors and flavors. There are three flavors to choose from:

Chicken & Carrot
Turkey & Sweet Potato
Sweet Potato

I would like to invite you all to my website www.puritydog.com to find out more information about the treats and the company itself. Thank you all and I hope I will be able to contribute my experience to the Itchmo community.

Hi Michael,

I do have some more questions about your doggie treats.  (I have 2 GSDs).

Where do all your ingredients come from?  Are they grown/raised in the USA?

Are the ingredients or finished product irradiated?

Any of your ingredients from China or Canada?

Is any testing done on the ingredients or finished product to ensure purity of ingredients?

Thanks.

Hi JustMe,

Our Chicken and Turkey are both from the US and our Sweet Potato is from North Carolina.

None of the products are irradiated at all. They are all slow cooked for many hours to maintain their nutritional values.

None of our ingredients are from China or Canada.

We have our products tested to ensure that they are safe for consumption by dogs.

I understand your questions and concerns, as I had the same ones until I started making my own treats for my dogs.

1 more thing I thought of,where are the treats made ? Also are there any vitamins or minerals added & if so where are they from ? It would be great not to have to make every treat.

Please refer to the response I posted to JustMe. It should be right above your post. However if you have any different questions, I'll be happy to answer them. You can also visit our FAQ at http://puritydog.com/faq.php for more info.

Are the treats made by you, in your own factory or does someone make them for you?
Is anything sprayed, applied, etc. onto the ingredients when they are being dryed/ produced?

Hi Kibbles,

How about you take us for a walk through your manufacturing facility from beginning to end. I don't want to know about any proprietary processes, but having seen that your treats only contain one or two ingredients, I am very intrigued and am wondering how they are manufactured. Are they formed (like Pringles)? Are they cooked and dried? These treats look like they would be great for a dog that has a couple of extra pounds on her (MIL's dog).

Hi Kibbles and welcome. At the current time do you only accept paypal? Will that be the only form of payment for orders or will that change to include credit cards and checks ?

I am also intrigued by only two ingredients and what method, as bug had also asked, is used while drying the treats?

Are your products only available from the web site or do you distribute in other states?
