Eventually they will understand,
Replied the glorious cat
For I will whisper into their hearts
That I am always with them
I just am....forever and ever and ever.

I realize how old this thread is, but thought I'd give a comparison experience.

The price of this product seems to be between $300 and $360, depending on which model you get.

The litter-robot is of a comparable price.  Or was 2 years ago.

If I had seen this, back then, I would have been highly tempted to get it.  But this may have stopped me:  One-time, simple setup to cold water, a drain or toilet, and electric. CatGenie is 19" wide in front, 16" wide bottom back, 17" top back, 21" high, 24" deep allowing for hoses. Water Supply Hose 8' long, Drain Hose 10' long.

You must hook it up to your own drain line, and I'm just enough of a pansy to not want to mess with plumbing I know nothing about.  On the other hand, if you have a handy person, they may know how to set it up for you with no issues.

My cats don't like the dome of the litter-robot and this one offers the dome as an option.  Also, the granules are washable.  However, I wonder what the "granule" spray is like?  (The litter spread from my litter-robot has gotten horrible.  I think my dome is partly to blame, though, and I'm considering replacing it.)

From just reading the specs, it seems affordable for what it does, although it's certainly at the top of the pricing for electric litter boxes.
