Trooper,Remy & Fragile

« on: September 08, 2012, 03:49:37 PM »

As you all know, Trooper has had ongoing diarrhea issues. We have tried every antibiotic, probiotic & prebiotic with only sporadic help. My cousin suggested trying pancreatic enzymes & within 2 days there is improvement ! This 1 is by Premier Science, Integrative therapeutic Inc. & I got it at only natural pet . It was around $30 for 100 tablets & he is currently taking 6 daily, 2 three times a day. I am definitely ordering more , it's safe for dogs ,cats & people. Hope this helps others with similar problems.

I don't recall - has Trooper had a GI panel run?  I don't know how common exocrine pancreatic insufficiency is in cats, but we see it often enough in dogs that it would be worth investigating.  And it would explain why a pancreatic enzyme helps.

So glad he's doing better!

Not in several years, but they were always normal before. At almost 15 & with his other issues, we aren't testing anything. Just trying to keep him happy, comfortable & mobile.
