I'm so happy for you for your additions to your family.   Smiley  My heart is happy that you found room for both of them.  Senior kitties appreciate the love they have been given.

I've really enjoyed the pictures Kiss  Thank You!

PS  We are envious of the nail clipping success Tongue

The nail clipping was difficult I had to wrap whoshe in a cloth to do the back claws as she didn't like the clipping of rear nails!

I've been following your thread and I'm so glad things are going well.
I had my fingers crossed that you would take Whoshe and I was very
happy that you did.  Senility can be a challenge, but she will always
respond to affection.  They are beautiful.  Rusty is a handsome cat -
I'm partial to orange kitties! Cheesy

What can I do to whoshe when she goes after the other cat's to let her know that is unacceptable behaivor it's so random & it seems she just picks fights ??

What I do is put some pennies in an empty can (like a Coke can), then I rattle it. (I got this tip here, I think from AlekO).  It makes such a noise, it interrupts what they were doing.  This is assuming that Whoshe hears okay, but it's pretty loud.  Maybe other people have ideas.  I'll occasionally squirt my young ones from a spritz water bottle- just don't get poor old Whoshe too wet.

I've also used the coins in a can method in the past.  I have also used a child's water gun to squirt in their direction to distract them.  If she is really persistent, maybe remove her from the area and give her a time-out in another room for a while to calm down.

Maybe substitute some other toys that Baby can have - perhaps put them in a place where she feels like she is "stealing" them - an extra drawer or in a box, something like that.

Baby may think your socks are her "kittens".   Tongue Tongue Tongue

LOL.  My husband calls our youngest kitty (one of our torties) "Baby Cat".  So, I get a kick out of seeing your references to your kitten, "Baby".   Wink

Don't feel bad about Baby dragging your socks around. I had a cat that would steal my bras off the bed when I was in the shower and drag them around. Keeping the items out of kitty reach was the only permanent solution. Hide the socks.  Grin

I say, buy her a bunch of socks. It's better than having your wallet or car keys snatched and stashed by a ferret. My friend couldn't get to work one day.  Cheesy

I gave Baby a catnip toy last night I think it got her to wound up,(Has Anyone had BAD Experiences/Reactions wit Cat Nip?? Next thing I knew she just like went into attack mode for no reason, (drew blood,I"m ok Using triple Antibiotic) so I decided to Baptize her with a spay bottle I had handy. I gave her another toy it's a glove like toy and she picked it up right away & drug it off with her, then when I looked down she was laying next to my chair with it up against herself.Yesterday, I bought Who-she the Pate friskies as the previous owners had given me the Chicken with gravy but, Baby eats that & whoshe loves the pate as I tried some of Rusty's Pate on Whoshe & she Loved it!  & she can use the weight if she does gain!

My cats have in the past got a little "over excited" with catnip (to put it mildly) and would start fighting with each other or try to scratch or bite me.  So, I use catnip sparingly these days.

Yep, I have one cat that turns into an a***ole and starts fights, another that doesn't really get affected and the other loves to slobber all over anything with catnip in it/on it. They're all different, but I find the younger ones get crazier on it (especially my homegrown stuff).

Thats what i thought Thank You all for confirming it no more cat nip for Baby! I just dunno what to do about Rusty,s cat nip he doesn't go crazy  Angry like Baby can I possibly keep Rustys cat nip in bedroom and put it up when not in use ?? Or should I just rule it out altogether?? I have a lot of catnip toys & Rusty has 1 he's used a long time it's even orange just like him, but if it's gonna cause Baby to go  Angry  it isn't worth it!
