Don't know how to tell Carol this, but my mother is knitting a Smudge kitty to make money for ARF kitties.  It will help the humans take kitties to a nutritionist.

They cost $25 and it takes $25 off the bill of someone who needs help with pet nutrition.

My mother is a terror.

Arlo- your mom is so sweet-- Cry-Smudge hopes this raises lots of money and awareness for ARF...it strikes so fast and as Smudge may have proven---can be survived with the proper treatment!  (Thanks Dr Serra!!! Kiss)

Mike and I were blown away when we saw Smudge!  How do we buy some??   Shocked

as you can see, she is quite embarassed by this attention! Cheesy

ps---we have pictures of Fluffy--I mean Lucy and will post them later!! Grin

OMG - those Smudge kitties are great!!  Tell us how we can get one when the supply is big enough, and thank your mother for me.  What a great lady to be doing this, and what a fantastic idea!

So Lucy got through her beauty parlor appt. OK, Carol?  Bet she was glad to see you (& you to see her).  That post you put in yesterday sounded like a mother leaving her  child for the first day at school!

"fluffy" formerly known as "Lucy" is now known as "Stinky Lou".....this morning while we were working in our yard on this beautiful sunny day somehow she found a pile of either diarhhea or the guts from an animal--we are not sure--she hadn't done this before ever...do you think she was trying to tell us something?? Cheesy

Carol; Lucy sounds like a typical golden (I have one who loves to get her shoulders down into deer droppings). Sounds like Lucy didn't want to "smell" like a show dog! or maybe Lucy liked the "doggie spa" so much she wants to go back soon. She is a cuttie.

Arlo; the "Smudge" kitties are so cute! Your Mom is an amazing lady doing this to help ARF kitties. How do we purchase?

Fluffy-Stnky-Lucy will have to have a bath first, I'm afraid  Cheesy Cheesy

Doesn't it just drive ya nuts when they do tings like that?  Why do doggies find poopies so attractive?   Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Glad to be home from the spa....she was really happy to get in the car!

On mother's day Mike built me stone steps on the hill at the back of the new house using stones from the property and we worked for hours with Lucy right at our side watching our every move---I guess we should have been watching her every move--- Cheesy

Aaawwww Lucers!  You look so darn cute with that little kerchief and all fluffy to boot!  But Carol, Im afraid my vote sides with Lucy, who wants to sit around looking all cute and fluffy, thats for sissies and no fun at all!  Lucers, you have Auntie Sandi's permission to go play, get filthy dirty and have a blast.   Wink Grin  But Lucers, keep that kerchief on, its mighty purdy on ya.

Is that a beer? Oh, Lucy!  Grin

I wonder if rolling in things goes back to their predator-carnivore days.  "Hey little rabbit.  I'm just a pile of poo (or a dead squirrel)."

I asked my mother to make one extra Smudgie toy in her first batch.  Smudge MUST have one.

My mother absolutely loves Calico/Tortie cats.  She started knitting toys last year after all the toy recalls.  They make a safe gift.  The first consult with the local nutritionist is $100.  She thought she could make a batch of these toys and see if people would be willing to pay alot for them as a charitable contribution.  I thought $25 was too much, but she says for charity it's not.

We took Lucy to watch the fishing boats come into Galilee and she loved watching the seagulls.

and this shows her determination to fit into the smallest of spaces Grin and she is not a small golden! we aren't really sure where all her legs went!

Aaaww Lucy Lou got to go for a ride!  The hair blowing in the breeze, how cute!  Carol, she is so pretty (and very shiny from her appt with the hairdresser I might add)!
