I'm glad to hear that Lucy is starting to feel better and has the opportunity to socialize a bit so you can see if she benefits.

This made think about how I got Poco about a year after my first dog crossed over.  I thought that Poco might be a comfort to my other dog, but to tell the truth, he wasn't pleased.  Cooper was a 25-30lb Lab and terrier mix that thought he was a big dog and had been running with much bigger dogs at the dog park in the previous year.

He was actually rather snooty with toy sized dogs and even went so far as to urinate on them if the poor things tried to befriend him.   So when he realized that his new housemate was a toy terrier, he had his pride bent out of shape for quite awhile, though he did come to care for Poco as time went on.

Lucy  Cheesy wants me to tell you all that her dad just called from work and told her mom that one of his coworkers was able to read through Harry's thread from start to finish and said she has never seen such an amazing group of people! Kiss Cry Kiss Cry Kiss

and I agree!

Well if I had a camera with me today at 9:30 you would have seen the same face as the first one posted here in Lucy's thread......I dropped her off at the groomers for a day at the spa...Mike wants to take her to work on Wed's and she really needed to be groomed more than I can do in the bathtub (or horrors Shocked-with the hose) but now I am suffering from "what did I do?"  I hope it isn't too soon from her losing Harry--she really wanted to come home with me.....hard to concentrate now....I am sure she will be okay but it is very hard not having her with me! Sad

(ps....just so you know---I am not the inspiration---you guys are!  The way you make those that need "help" feel--no matter what that need is! Kiss)

Oh I'm sure Ms. Lucy will be shaking & wiggling all over after her grooming & bath.  Just give her lots of treats & love when you get her back tonight.  Plus she gets to go to work for a day & get lots of attention & distraction there.

(I do understand why you feel this way though, I'd probably be thinking the same thing!)

Carol, you, Mike, Harry and Jessica have definitely given me the strength and courage to battle on for the benefit of my furkids.  Many other folks here too have done the same......I think each of us feeds off the strength of others here, and when the going gets tough, the encouragement and support from all gives that extra boost to keep going.

We need to see a photo of the newly coifed Miss Lucy Grin

I agree, we need a picture of Lucy after her day at the "doggie spa". I bet she's enjoying snuggling with the groomer and getting lots of hugs and splashing water around as only a golden can do. When she gets home; give her a big hug from her fans here at Itchmo.
