Thanks - so, soooo cute together. I loved the one where Murphy and Lucy have their heads so close to each other!

I have been waiting for the day that i can say that "Lucy is her old happy self" but as each day goes by I realize that her old happy self won't happen.. She has a new happy with Jack.  The happy she had with Harry was unique and different than what she has with her new brother....but that is as it should be....just as we have a different "happy good" day now....Harry was such a huge part of our life but he was all of Lucy's life... so to think that we will ever see that Lucy again is probably not possible...but she is happy now...she is just a different happy...and we know that Harry would not want her any other way!

Carol- I think you are right and Lucy will always miss Harry. But even just in the pix you have posted, there is a sparkle in her eyes again and a happy wiggle ! She looks like a different dog with Jack. Much better than that sad and subdued look she had.

And the same statement, I imagine, might apply to the humans in the household as well.

That's a good photo of Lucy. I agree she will always miss Harry but Jack is a big help for her.

Isn't it humbling how "animals" pay tribute to their kind?  They have 100% better sensitivities than some "humans."  That place that Harry occupied in Lucy's heart, Lucy has sequestered in tribute to her beloved brother Harry.  But she has a BIG heart that has room for Jack and of course her beloved humans too.

As Jack grows up to be more Lucy's size, she may inter-react with him just as she did with Harry. But there will be new games they will both think up to play. I love that sleeping Lucy picture.

Glad to hear that Lucy has at least found a new happiness.  Cats and dogs are like people in that they are all individuals and develop their own special relationships.  I know she will have her own special bond with Jack soon.  Besides, Jack looks like he has one of those personalities that will not tolerate being ignored.

Oh my dogs love playing patty-cake in the mud, too.  Nothing like a 120 pound Pyrenees covered from head-to-toe in mud with the world's biggest, goofiest smiles on his face.  Don't you just love the "look what I did" looks on their happy faces?

They are too precious, I can't believe how fast Jack is growing, he's going to be gorgeous.  Goldens are some of the most beautiful dogs, I've always wanted one.

Oh what a cute, beautiful heap of goldies!  Lucy must feel surrounded (and somthered) by love with those two around.  They are getting BIG!!
