I hope everybody settles down and peace reigns once again. Does sound like stress from the move and how cats just hate change. We haven't moved in many years but the last time some of our cats were totally out of sorts for over a week..

Hoping everyone has calmed down now. Moving does unsettle things for awhile.

No, things are not calming down Sad

Miss Lilly needs a home of her own.  If anyone knows someone who can take in a blind lovebug, who is a dominant personality, let me know.  she is FELV/FIV negative, has had her rabies, did not go into heat this fall (but only God knows for sure!), and loves to snuggle.

Sir and Bella HATE her.  Bisi isn't too thrilled, either.  Seems Beau is the only one who is ok with Lilly, and Lilly is not 100% ok with him (but she is getting there).

She has learned how to dump the litter box, and does so, just as I am getting my coat on.   Tongue

I'm a little overwhelmed by everything, and this is not helping much.  If I didn't have Bella and Sir, I would try to keep her, because she has already wormed her way into my heart, but my home is not what she needs on a permanent basis.  She will do best as the only cat, but I don't know how she'll be with dogs.  She appears to be fine with people in general.  Her coat is odd, it sticks straight out and has a spongy feel to it.  If you have ever had the opportunity to stroke an American Wire Hair or a Selkirk Rex, her coat feels a lot like those.  She makes a clicking noise when she purrs.  When you inform her that she has been bad, she will run to the litter box to mark her territory.  And then dump it.   Roll Eyes  She likes to give little love nips.

Sir got on the bed this morning, with Beau, Bisi and Miss Lilly still around!  I don't know if it's because I am forcing him to spend more time with me or if he has simply decided I am worth his time, or if he was merely hungry (yesterday was a bizzarre day, and they didn't have their normal dinner).  But I was so happy that he felt comfortable enough to ignore the younger cats and actually get on the bed, even though I was getting out of it at the time.

I caught Sir marking.  Twice.  he got a 5 minute time out in the bathroom.  I think he's still doing it, but I haven't caught him. Sad

Otherwise he seems to be doing ok.  He is actually asking for his medicine, in his own special way.  Crouching at the bathroom door and staying in the bathroom with me instead of running out like he used to.  And he doesn't even fuss now.  He knows a treat is coming his way!  A treat just for him.   Cheesy

I know I should get feliway diffusers, but somehow I always balk at the price.  There is no excuse, so it's going to the top of my list, along with the pro-biotics I need for Bella.

Bella is hanging in there.  Her eye is a little seepy, but that may be the eye drops.  However, it's very noticeable in bright light.  Her pupil seems to be an odd shape when it contracts in bright light.  Otherwise she seems happy and comfortable.  I will be talking about cerenia with the vet when we go in a couple weeks.  Meanwhile, I have left over bupenophrine still to give her when she shows distress.

Bisi and Beau are fine.  Beau is chasing Bisi again and she is not getting as upset as she used to about it.  But he does make her shriek.  And he earned a time out the other night for it.  Beau wants someone to play with, and he has been carrying the wand toys around the house.  I find them when I come home, in the kitchen, in the bedroom, in the hallway.  LOL

Oh dear, so sorry about the marking.  Sad That's a frustrating thing to deal with. I have thought about using Feliway too and yes, the cost always has me passing it by. Also, Alek did mention that it doesn't have much effect on her boys.

Has Bella been to see an eye specialist? I do know that changes in the pupil indicates problem deeper in the eye rather than on the surface like a scratch. Thunder's first symptom of her brain tumor was a dilated pupil. I hope you can find out what's happening there poor kitty. I'm glad she's feeling good though!

I'm having the same problem with Stormy and Smoggy as you are with Bisi and Beau. Smoggy wants to play and Stormy definitely doesn't! Then the shrieking and growling starts.  Roll Eyes I originally thought that Smoggy was trying to be top cat but now I notice that he is doing the same play-initiating behavior that he used to do with Cosmo. He runs up and bumps Stormy's shoulder to try and get her to run and play with him. She acts like he's attacking her. He also has been carrying toys around, sometimes bringing them to me to play with him. He needs to burn off energy but there's no outlet anymore. This has led to him gaining a half pound.

Poor Smoggy Sad  He must miss Cosmo as much as you do.  Yes, Beau keeps Bisi very trim and neat in figure.   Tongue  Which is good in a breed of cats that tends to be obese.

Bella has cancer in her eye, Ned.  The ultrasound vet told me it was definitely lymphoma.  I could have it removed, but the lymphoma is in her intestines as well, just not a mass yet.  If I had the money, I would have her eye removed, but it would only buy me some time, or it would speed up the development of another mass.  You never can tell with these things.  Anyway, I have elected for pallative care.

Oh I'm sorry merrihart. I remembered she had a mass but didn't know it was cancer.  Sad
