Steve, nice picture of Sash. But how do you keep the snow from blowing into your porch?

Sometimes some blows on to the porch and I just sweep it out.  The screening helps keep it minimal and I have the sides protected to keep rain and snow from blowing in from the sides.  Last week we weren't so lucky the floor was white with powder. That doesn't happen often. But we had a rare blizzard with lots of swirling winds blowing powder everywhere.

Alek, funny pictures! I love pictures of kitties sleeping on their backs - seems like the ultimate in trust and contentment.
Mark, nice blend of photos, and beautiful cats.

I actually got all three of my Lone Rangers in one photo today! Didn't plan it but when I opened a can of fish based food, they all converged on one spot. I sprang into action.... that might work for someone else, too.

But, I have to wait to post until we restore the old drive, which is where we keep the pictures. So no photos of my guys with fish in their whiskers, yet...

I'm also going to try the new catnip mouse to draw them together. I got it from the local animal group's sale - locally sewn! But who knows where the 'nip and the cloth came from. We've had a brief session with all three with this mouse before, and it was peaceful, so no worries for us there.

Nice composite there, MarkT.  Muskie looks quite disdainful of the others--I love the expression on her face.  Those Bengals certainly are long, lean machines.  This photo really shows that quality in JP.

Alek, the heater must be the secret...but I don't think it would work for mine.  We have one of those heaters that we use in our office area that is partly below ground level so gets chilly, but I've never seen mine react that way.  They hate each other too much LOL.

As to the temperatures, where I live we were not quite as cold as caylee this morning, but it was cold enough at -4 degrees F.  With the wind, the wind chill factor was -20 degrees F.  The northern central part of the North American continent, away from the oceans, is COLD.  (I shudder to think what it must have been where bug lives...   Shocked  )

catwoods, I'll be interested to see that picture!  (Fish would not work for all of mine, either.)

MarkT, wow, what an exotic family you have!

Steve, so good to see Sasha enjoying her new home!  (Well, not so new anymore!)

ChefG, oooh, fluff!  It must be nice and toasty to put your face onto one of those!   Cheesy

Alex0, lol at that tummy!

Nice cropping there Mark. Cats sure do like those portable radiator type heaters. Do they only heat the immediate surrounding area or a whole room? Never had one but might consider it.

Alek, it looks like your cats enjoy your heater as much as ours do. From what I can tell yours looks identical to ours.

catbird, yes disdainful is the word. She looks down from her castle on the bookshelves in full knowledge she is superior to them.

JJ, the heater does warm the whole room, and does it very well provided the room is not too large. On high it can really kick out some heat though we usually have it on a very low setting...just enough so Muskie is comfortable at night. I should add, the first one we bought leaked oil onto the hardwood floor the first time we used it. For anyone buying one I'd recommend putting it though its paces over a sheet of plastic or outdoors first...also it gave off a strong smell the first time we used it on high.

So as not to be too OT, here's another photo. I was trying to catch JP in the light from the embers of our wood fire but it did not not work and the flash went off.
