Cathy -
I think your puppy will be a great show dog.  His markings are beautiful!  I don't have dogs myself, but I have to ask this "dumb" question.  You said he chews on an oak tree stick.  Will the wood chips or splinters that he might swallow be a problem in his tummy?  I truly don't know, but that is the first thought that came to my mind.   Huh

Mandycat, thanks.  I did some research and found, of course, opinions on both sides.  But, better safe than sorry.  The little man's stick has gone to mulch heaven.  I'm off to find something (other than me) for him to chew on.

Cathy,

Good for you.  That's a beautiful pup!  Look at those big puppy feet.

These are some new pics of Kirlin.  He's really grown!  He weighs 27 lbs. and is all legs right now.  Boy, am I tired.  I forgot how much energy a puppy has (and how little I have).  He had his first little show and came in second . . . . . . there were only three puppies!  We're having alot of fun with him.

What a pose!

Always waiting for a meal!

He thinks he's a cat! (note the dog bed in the right lower corner)

Cathy,

You just proved me wrong  I thought one of the benefits of having a dog was they stay off the tables and mainly stayed on the floor.  OOPS  SO much for that.  Too Cute.

He sure is growing....but those feet still look big for his size!  Don't know that he'll be able to lay on that table much longer.  He's adorable.
