Did you get the yen for a white cat with a black tail and head markings from Don Earl's Scruff by any chance?
LOL.  That's funny.  I had to go back and look at Scruff's photo.  Wonder if they are related?  Tongue

He's a handsome boy, and lucky to have a great home.

He didn't eat at all this morning.

Oh-oh.  Maybe it is kibble time after all.  But you did succeed in transitioning your others, so I have high hopes for him too!

How is he doing otherwise?

Poor guy!  Kirkland is Costco's house brand.  I've never used it, sorry I can't help with the ingredients.  I can look next time I go, but it won't be this week Undecided

I did some more googling and do not like what I saw, so Kirkland is out.  I have CORE (unopened, don't know the size of the kibble) and NV Instinct Rabbit dry.

JustMe- Try giving the Core or NV with a little kirkland sprinkled in. If he smells & tastes the stuff thats familiar he may be more likely to try the newer kibble. If he eats it that way,try some wet later.

He's eating some CORE.  That got his attention.  I have a kibble addict.   Embarrassed  Embarrassed

I opened the new CORE bag and gave ALL THE CATS some.  SHOOT ME NOW!  They all ate KIBBLE.    Gulp!  Shocked   Shocked  Shocked

p.s. It is the new small kibble.

What I have found is that kibble seems to be very addictive.  Linley eats wet foods well, and recently I have been feeding him exclusively wet foods--canned, home-cooked, and commercial raw.  He eats in a room by himself.  So what does he do the minute he gets let out?  Heads right for the dishes that belong to my two kibble eaters, to see if there is any left.  If so, he will finish it off in record time.

It's like a drug! Shocked

Maybe yours will just think it is a cat treat and not expect it for meals?

What a cutie BJ is! Something very special 'bout those black & white ones.

Bless you JustMe for taking him in and giving him a good home. How many others do you have?

Later if you try canned food again, crush some of the Core and lightly sprinkle it over they wet.

I have a kibble addict too, Cocoa, but with him being diabetic he has very, very little kibble and then just a few as a treat. But he still goes wild for it and gobbles it as quickly as he can, almost snorting while he's eating it.  Roll Eyes

Thanks, but it is the rescue people who did all the work and made sure he got a chance at a good home.  We currently have 11.  We used to have 12 at one time.  That's a great idea about crumbling the CORE on top of the wet.  What kibble does Cocoa eat?

We've got 2 other black/white kitties.   Wink
