I second that liver support meds (SAMe) are really useful. Also relatively easy to administer, no nasty taste so no foaming if you miss Smiley Glad to hear it was just a murmur. Was Kermit's heart rate very high at the time? Max had a heart murmur at the vet clinic when I bright him in for UTI (and his heart rate was crazy, he was really stressed out), and no sign of it on later check up at home when he was calm. And his echocardiogram in May was normal.

Really nice pic.

Kermit has that superior cat look down pat! Glad that it's only a murmer and not something more serious.

Happy to read that Kermit had a mostly good checkup, though sorry about the heart murmur. I had a kitty who lived a long, long time with one.

I love Kermit's expression in the picture! The technique really adds depth and enhances the furriness of kitties.

Quick update about Kermit. The liver meds we tried earlier did help reduce her numbers some. The vet gave us a different type  to use for a longer stretch with the comment this may be something she needs long term. Unfortunately, the new meds seem to really bother her; turns out one potential side-effect is nausea. So she's been off her food which has made watching her for weight loss in case of other issues rather problematic. I had her meds switched back to the initial type we'd tried and so far so good, she seems to be perking up. Her appetite seems to be improving which I hope will increase as the meds start to help out properly. It's easier on both of us too since this med only has to be given once a day in a moderately sized pill whereas the other was twice a day in a weird square shape that I was trying to pill pocket to improve its palatablity. She doesn't really like either of them but the current one is much easier to give so she must not mind it as much.

What a great capture! Glad the meds are now helping Kermit, and are easier to give.
