BW, my Bud and my Pretty Girl have a little extra weight Embarrassed, while Booper is one of those cats with a hearty appetite, like some people, who can eat all he wants, and still stay a perfect, healthy weight. IMO there are individual metabolism differences influencing the weight.

I have several feedings of canned a day, but in the evenings I leave out some kibble - I have read that it is very hard to get cats used to eating at certain set times only, because in the wild, they catch a mouse here, and a mouse there, over a long time period. So they are nibblers by nature. Mine will only eat a small amount of kibble each time and if it's not there later, they will use loud meows and piercing glances to tell me to bring it. Grin I leave a very small amount in each cat's dining place overnight. Many people do have success training them to eat at set times only, however. I'm trying various ways to scale back slowly on meals to help the big ones lose a little. But when doing this it is important that they do not lose weight too rapidly, which can cause problems with the liver.

Catwoods, Sounds almost like what I am doing, except that I have more mouths, so I have to leave more out at night.  Yes, it is dangerous for them to lose too much too quickly.  That is one of the reasons I never got my Barkley's weight down very well. My vet warned me about that, and then on top of that, the fact that a CRF cat MUST eat, or else, made it very confusing to manage the food.

At one point, he had a bad reaction to some antibiotics, and stopped eating totally. I was beside myself and wound up assist feeding him with a syringe many times a day, for a couple weeks, with all the measuring how much went into him teaspoon by teaspoon, happy about every single teaspoon, searching all over for a syringe that would work smoothly etc. Finally, when we started an anti nausea med, he slowly started eating again, and eventually regained his excellent appetite.  I was so relieved, that I wound up just tickled pink when he would eat anything I put in front of him.

Now of course with so many cats, and a variety of ages, it is hard to know who is eating what.
Not easy being a catmom!

Just luv, luv, luv those baby pics of Tommy - so adorable, how could anyone resist him? You just want to pick him up and cuddle him all the time. They are just so darn cute at that age.

JJ,  yes, I must say, he was one of, if not the cutest of my little kittens.   I fell in love with him at first sight.  And he was a cuddle bug too.  Wherever he is now over the Rainbow Bridge, I am sure he appreciates your compliment.

Here is another photo of my dear Tommy, Skinny's first baby.  Tommy just loved boxes, best thing you could give him. Here he is comfy in a nice box.

Catwoods, thank you.  my Tommy was just as sweet as a cat could be, always friendly to absolutely everybody.  If someone came in, all the other cats would run, and Tommy would greet them and let them pick him up. A very special kitty.

I just found another photo of my most precious little friend Skinny Bones.  This is from about 9 years ago.  As you can see, she was no longer skinny.
And thank goodness, she looks content and relaxed, dosing on my sofa.

Argh - BW I cant see any of the pics..... Checked the other threads & they're OK.
I wonder if its just me - or if you've changed something on your hosting site?  Happened with mine once - I changed the access permissions & then the pics disappeared from here - think doing it changed the url's so I had to edit & put them in the post again.

Can anyone esle see the pics?

I didn't check all the pictures on the thread, JoMax, but the most recent one is showing up fine for me.

It says still downloading the pix for me. Maybe the site is a little slow today.
