We got a new kitty boy, things are still quite chaotic, Mitzie has not been too happy about it but she is calming down. I actually planned to get two boys (one either ragdoll or russian blue due to their lovely personality and friendliness they are usually a good fit for a multi pet household and one rescue pending suitable personality, i.e. non-dominant boy), but considering her reaction which was much, much worse than when we got Max, I guess I'll stick to one. At least leo totally doesn't mind all the hissing and growling, he is quite fearless and very happy and friendly cat.

This is Leonardo (named after da Vinci, not Di Caprio)

Day two after arrival:

I can't take a photo of him with Max, because they keep chasing each other. Chases still end up with some hissing usually (Max is getting a taste of his own medicine, usually he chases Sophie until she hisses at him), but overall it is good progress considering he only arrived on Friday. Mitzie is now tolerating him being in the same room, but the distance has to be about 1 meter, minimum. Unless freeze dried duck treats are being given, that is instant friendship, all four crowd around me with complete disregard who is standing next to whom, and total focus on just getting more duck  Grin

Congratulations!  LEO!  He's so cute!  And he looks totally at home, too.   Cheesy  I just love that photo of him with his carrot along with his "twin" Sophie with her carrot on the sofa.   Cheesy

Max and Sophie have already accepted him, and he is now playing with Max a lot. I wish I could have captured on camera Max's confused look. They were chasing each other, Max hid behind the air filter and then Leo run away to hide in the cat tunnel, they were doing the usual "who's going to break cover first" thing with peeking at each other, and then Leo spotted a Darth Vader mouse and started playing with it, completely forgetting about Max, who had the most confused expression on his face. It was so funny.

Mitzie is still hissing occasionally when he is too close, but she is much better, capable of purring happily even with Leo clearly visible as long as he is not too close.

I think things are going well:

He spent a lot of time playing with Max today  Grin Mitzie is not too happy, but tolerates him.

More pics. I've taken a week off so there will be less pics once I am back to work.

Leo and Max:

Leo and Sophie:

Two boys are playing together a lot, girls are tolerating him, Sophie better than Mitzie, but no one is too happy with Leo's idea that tails make the best toys ever.
