What an adorable face Miss Lily has, she is just precious. I am soo glad you may be keeping Lily, she deserves an excellent cat mom like you, poor girl at her age.  You seem to have helped her back to pretty good health, it seems, great job done!!  I don't think her blindness should present too many problems at all.

I have 2 blind cats, Winifred and Hamish.
They both make out just fine, as long as I don't move the furniture.  Poor Hamish tries to walk into the wall occasionally, but on the whole I don't think you would realize he is blind if you were meeting him for the first time.  Winifred suffers from Ocular blindness.  She still explores and even climbs up onto the 7 foot catgym now and then, and on occasion, I have to rescue her when I see her feeling around in the air for a way back down.  I wish she wouldn't do that, I fear how she would get down when I am not at home, but for all I know she may have already done it.  She doesn't seem to lose interest in exploring.  She is about 14 now, and is hyperthyroid, so takes methimazole.

My Winifred is very sweet and affectionate and it sounds like your Lily is too.

Again, I am so glad you may be keeping very pretty miss Lily, it seems that she is very fond of you now, and I don't think her blindness should present too many problems for you. Bless you for your kindness to Lily.

Nice page for Miss Lilly, merrihart! She's beautiful. Those tabbies with reddish highlights always are! (So are the tabbies with no red, of course!)
