August,  your whole surgery thread was totally fascinating.  What great vets you have.  So glad everything worked out so well.  Love the photo of the 2 in the paper bag, just adorable.  I can understand how alarmed you were by that head wound.  What a saga, and so well told.

I am amazed by your weight loss program, my goodness the energy and creativity it required,  KUDOS on such a marvelous job done.  I have a few cats that are obese, and don't know where to even begin.  So your photo of the bare, chubby tummy looks very familiar to me.

Re: the bare tummy,  I have several like that.  My vet calls it barbering! (over grooming) and it seems it is a quite common phenomenon.   The cat grooms continually and actually licks the fur right off.
Could be an allergy, could be boredom, could be stress, etc.  I have had a few cats do it.  they don't seem to be any the worse for wear from doing it, but it is a shame to have them lose their soft lovely fur on their tummies.

You certainly are a superb cat mom.

Barbering!   Cheesy   Well, if Wednesday's barbering his tummy fur, he's leaving a completely even peach fur coat!

Did I mention to you guys that I adopted a baby spotted sea lion?  (Fri  Cheesy )
