Hello everyone!

Welcome to my new Larges and Tinies thread!

We’ve got to get caught up.

I believe the last time I put up a pic - holy moly, it’s been a year?  well, yeah, I guess that's about right, wow - I think it was around the time Yoyo had all his teef pulled out.

Well, since then, his sister Lulu had the same procedure done.   Tongue

I’m guessing there must be something not so great about the immune system of the Larges.

And how are Yoyo and Lulu now that they’ve no teef?  You absolutely would never never never know until they yawn.  They look the same, they act the same, they eat the exact same things.  Well, okay, grass is a little bit funny to watch them eat, but aside from that, the only thing that changed is that they both feel so much better!

Here is Lulu right after her procedure and she wasn't used to not knowing where to put her tongue.   Cheesy

Here she is with her toofless brother Yoyo

And with Chami.  All aboard the floor heating rafts!   Cheesy

Soon after these photos were taken, Lulu figured out how to keep her tongue in her mouth and now you'd really never know.   Smiley

Yay, Larges photos!  Lulu looks adorable with her tongue out (and a little silly).  All of them are looking good, August.  Glad to have you back with us.

Welcome back!  So good to see the pics of the Larges and hear about how they are doing.  Sorry that Lulu and Yoyo had to have the teef removed, but, when Mandy had that same procedure, I also found that the adjustment was quite quick and easy.  No eating problems at all and you would never know unless you looked that there were no teefies in there!  I can see that they really are enjoying those heated floors!  Lucky kitties!!   Grin

It really is amazing how fast Lulu and Yoyo (and apparently cats in general) snap back after having all their teef removed.

And yes, the Tinies are all doing well, too.

Jazza, Fhizzy and Sunday (left to right)

And the boys, Friday, Wednesday and Tuesday (bottom to top)

It was a kind of (to put it mildly  Tongue ) stressful end of the year... and there was kind of a big "thousand-dollar happening/accident" that occurred with the Tinies.  But that was the beginning of something very positive!

Stay tuned...

**Question**
In my next post I'm planning to put some pre and post-surgery photos of one of the Tinies (taken at the house - nothing gory or sad at all).  They are photos that may make somekittyparent say, "Oh jeez" but they're nothing too awful... however, if it's better to skip the photos and just tell the story, I'll be glad to do that so please tell me!

Awww, they all look so good teeth or not!  Cheesy So glad to see you posting again August!

Accident!? I hope no one fell off one of those neat catwalks. I don't mind pics as long as there's a happy ending!

The tinies all look so well that I anticipate a happy ending, so pics are fine.  And the promise of something positive as a result makes me very curious!

Okay.

Let's see here.   Cheesy

So you might remember my mentioning that Tuesday had designated himself Hall Monitor and would pester his siblings as they would go down the stairs, or he would go up to his sleeping brother Friday and "check" on him, and everyone was pretty much annoyed with what he was doing.

And you know how they say that sometimes the "picked on" kitty needs to get confidence by finally getting the nerve to whack the bully kitty?

Well, Fri-Pie finally had enough of Tuesy's monitoring.

(I might mention the timing because it's "interesting" - this incident happened one day after my mom was hospitalized.)

I was on the 3rd floor trying to relax, and as Fri went downstairs, I heard Tuesy on the 1st floor doing his hall monitoring.  As usual, Fri started complaining to Tuesy, and Tuesy started bickering back.  And the next moment I heard a terrible howl and I flew down the stairs.

On the 1st floor, I saw Tuesy and Fri in frozen prowl mode staring at each other, and the water from the water dish had splashed all over the place.  I saw a tiny drop of blood on Fri's nose but not enough to be alarming, and as Tuesy left the scene first, I saw that one of his paw pads was leaving blood prints - again, nothing too awful.  Plus, you know, paw pads bleed a lot and they're usually not a big deal.  He was walking fine so I figured he must have gotten his pad scratched.  He went up the stairs to the 3rd floor.

I checked on Fri to make sure he was okay, and he was.

I went upstairs and Tuesy was in his favorite sleep spot in the closet.  I checked on him and his foot.  He looked good.

Phew!

 Tongue

We got up in the morning and as usual, Fri and Wed were waiting for breakfast.  I started getting their breakfast together and this is when Tuesy usually wakes up and comes out but he didn't.

Let me first post a photo of what Tuesy usually looks like (sorry for the blur):

But this is who I found when I looked in the closet:

 Shocked

Here's a slightly different angle.  You can see on his head where his stripes are that there's one stripe that looked very wrong:

Needless to say I was in a huge panic.  I called my new vet (the one who did the Larges' teef surgery) and of course, he wasn't in that day.

To be continued...  Cheesy

Shocked oh no.  That looks painful.  Okay.  Something "positive" is going to happen soon, right?  Lol, a cliff hanger!
