Poor little guy is scared, he's not living up to his name yet.  But I do see promise of cozy days ahead with him.

I first let him out in the small bathroom and let him come out of his kennel by himself.  I was able to pet him and give him some scritches which produced some purring!

He hasn't ventured very far and is hiding behind the piano Tongue  He did get on the family room couch for a while, and was quite talkative.  I received a nice little scratch for attempting to pick him up too soon.  I'm sorry, Kozy!
He has no interest in any food or water yet.  He did sniff the litter box right when we first got home.  I'm hoping he remembers where it is.

He's not very big, I'm going to guess about 8 pounds.  He's SO CUTE Grin  Once he is more comfortable, I'll get the camera out.  It may be awhile, though, before you get to see him.

(and a thank you to bug and angel Cozy )

Angel Cozy is very happy and so am I.

I hope he finds his comfort zone very soon so you can get some pictures. Poor little guy, he just doesn't need the Paparazzi in his face so soon. I don't think it'll take long for him to realize he's in a wonderful place.

Im not surprised he's a little scared, he's just been broken out of jail and has new surroundings and all.  I expect in the next day or so, he will have switched to acting like he owns everything and everyone. Bless his heart, he's had alot of moves to go through, he doesnt get this is his forever home...yet.  Kiss  Keep us posted on how things are going for Kozy (cute name) and for you and your DH!

Ah, now everyone can breathe a big sigh and settle in.  If Kozy (great name!) is like most adult adoptee-cats, he'll be telling you where things are (like the food cupboard, the cat treats, and the toys) in no time at all.  Welcome home, Kozy!

Welcome, Kozy!   Smiley  I'm so glad you got him, Fizzy.  Poor little thing just needs some time to explore and make your home his home as well.  I will be looking forward to seeing his picture when he is ready.

Ko-Ko Z!

Wooooo!

Fizzy1!!!!  This is such wonderful news.  I'm so happy for you!!!

You know, when I first got the Larges, I didn't want to scare them by taking out the camera, and I waited at least a week or more before taking any... and I wish I hadn't.

Which isn't to say to get up in Koz's face and flash away.   Wink

Maybe your DH could be really sneaky and secretly take some shots?   Smiley  You know, when Kozy's not lookin'.   Grin

Aww, thanks guys!  He talks!  A lot Cheesy  He came out from behind the piano after DH got home from work.  He likes to play, he loves being scritched and petted...you should see his butt come up.  He is still very skittish, especially with me.  He really likes DH Smiley

He has eaten just a small amount of canned and maybe 3 pieces of kibble, his collar tag hit the bowl and scared him off.  I was finally able to get the collar off and he seems very happy to be rid of it.  He finally peed about an hour ago, whew.

I'm not expecting to get much sleep tonight Wink

He's a guy's cat.  Wink  He'll warm up in no time, I bet.

Welcome home, Kozy, you're gonna love it there.

Hope you all had a peaceful night!

He may have just been waiting for things to get dark and quiet before eating more in new surroundings. (I once had a cat who did not come out from behind the toilet for two days after we moved.  We ended up putting food and water bowls near there and gradually leading him out by moving them further and further away.  Fortunately the litter box was kept in the bathroom at that time.)
