I really don't know what a chinchilla looks like.   Undecided   So, it looks like a bunny to me!   Tongue  Whatever it is, it is really cute, and I can see why you couldn't resist, Petslave.  But, is it a chinchilla or a bunny?  What is the cutie's name?

Oh, that bunny(? I've always thought chinchillas had longer hair, or at least the ones I have seen did) is adorable! Congratulations on your new family member.  Name?

And how are the dogs reacting?

Oh my goodness, what a cutie. I don't know the first thing about caring for a chinchilla - you'll have to keep us posted (with pictures, of course). I'm also curious how everyone is getting along. Congratulations on the new family member! (Will make a mental note - do NOT go to feed store)

I don't think it's a chincilla. I've seen chincillas, and that doesn't look like them, but I'd have to see the tail for sure LOL

Petslave, what type of bunny is it?  or is it something else all together?

name please!

That is the cutest little bunny! I had a friend who had a bunny who was litter trained. He had free run of the house and used the litter box just like a cat!

This is so funny coming back to this thread and no one knows what it is!!  I think chinchillas have smaller ears, and I really can't afford one of those even though I love them (a little too hyper for me too).

It's a little girl bunbun.  Actually she maybe older than what they told me at the store.  They had several signs on the stock tank - lopear, lionhead, angora, and all the other buns had long hair and flop ears.  I asked why she looked so different.  They said the lionheads have an occasional baby that doesn't have the longer hair.  I came home and spent an hour looking at rabbit breeds and found out she's a Neatherland dwarf rabbit.  Instead of 10 weeks, she looks half grown.  I also found out they strongly recommend spaying rabbits now (eeekk!!  can't imagine that tiny thing getting spayed!!).

She hasn't told me her name yet, so suggestions are welcome.  Someone handled her well because she's a little sweetie, though still a little bewildered.  I'm hoping she will be comfortable loose in the house once a day (with dogs in yard!).  And these rabbit hopping competitions sure look fun!
