Me feeding calves grain.  Okay, I'm not   I was faking that for the picture

My buddy Smiley

View of the "basketball court" from the haymow.  There is a really old basketball hoop mounted to the wall in that section so that's why its called the basketball court.  Other names for the sections:  dumbo section (you can guess why), bird poop section (my favorite one...not.  You can guess why its called that and why I normally wear a hat while feeding calves!

empty stalls - called the section across from the birdpoop section.  Yep, pretty creative name lol!

all the posts in the barn are logs...

My "running/jogging buddy" is let out to run around every night for a few minutes.  I can't even keep up with her anymore - she is really fast.  But yes me and her go running every night.

We started letting calves go out of stalls and run around when they got pneumonia.  She is completly over her pneumonia now but is still let out to run.

They are adorable ! I never used to think cows had much personality until a friend had 1 grow up near them. Its amazing how they know their names & respond like a dog though. I can just imagine you jogging with them ! Very glad the pneumonia is better !

They are like all young puppies, kittens, lambs etc. that they want to kick up their heels and play some. After all the extra energy they have as lil ones, ahhh I envy their get up and go at times.

The calves are cute!  I especially like the tongue picture of the one with the freckles on her nose.  Cheesy

Good to see all your pics - and your enjoyment of them is heartwarming in an age where most have lost such connection with animals due to the mass 'lifestyle'

For I will whisper into their hearts
That I am always with them
I just am....forever and ever and ever.
