How strange I didn't get any notification that you'd posted earlier this month.   Huh

Hehe, those cherry "strings" look fun to play with.   Cheesy

I'm not understanding the configuration of your desk - it's in the sit position and placed on something else?

That's so awesome and cute about brushing time!  I'm so happy to hear that the rug ended up being such a hit!   Cheesy

The desk is adjustable in height. It's sitting on my kitchen counter and is raised up a bit. Normally you would put it on your desk in the lowest position when you're sitting and then you can raise it up when you want to stand. I haven't put it on my desk yet because I have to clean all the junk off it first!  Cheesy

I don't think Smoggy had a very relaxing time at the vet this weekend. He was exhausted and has been sleeping on my desk most of the day. Poor kitty.  Kiss

Cheesy Actually that's my jigsaw puzzle board! He loves lying on it but that does make doing puzzles a problem.  Cheesy

Oh Ned,  I have not been here for such a loooong time, I was unable to log in, and finally gave up, and tonight I just thought I would try again, and  here is one of your gorgeous Stormy photos again.  How wonderful to be able to see it!!!

I have a big day tomorrow and absolutely must go to bed now, but I will BE BACK, now that I have been able to find you all again and have my new password.  I can't tell you all how wonderful it is to see all your names again.
I am now down from 20 cats to 6.  I just found my dearest Sylvester's body on the floor yesterday morning.  So many dear little fuzzy friends are gone now.  I still have Hamish McDoogle, Winifred, Tootsie, McGuffy,  Flower, and Punkin Petunia.
Have a good night Ned, and everyone else.  I am delighted to be looking forward to reading everything and seeing more photos tomorrow.

So glad to hear from you BW! I was just thinking of you yesterday and wondering how you were since you haven't been online in quite a while. I'm so sorry to hear about Sylvester.  Cry

I hope your day goes well tomorrow and you can come back soon and let us know how things are going.

I miss seeing your pictures, Ned, and I have no idea why I can't see them.  I don't even see a broken link.   Undecided

Kisses to Smoggy and Stormy from my household of mau'o'maus!

Our new naughty boy:

Ignorance is bliss....

He has no idea....

OMG what did you do to me?!

A new toy doesn't really make up for that but I'll take what I can get.

Smoggy has now decided he doesn't like Haboob at all. Lots of hissing, growling and swatting. To be fair, Haboob is quite the little monster. He just doesn't take no for an answer. I'm hoping he'll settle down and they will be the best of friends soon. Haboob is not a pushover like Cosmo was. Stormy tolerates Haboob and sometimes grooms him. She will discipline him when necessary. I think things will be in a bit of an uproar for a while until Smoggy accepts him.

It's been a bit difficult for me to take care of the kitties as I fell while running on Sunday and landed hard on my ribcage. Luckily I didn't hurt anything else but man am I sore. Just turning over in bed is an adventure. But I'm slowly getting better and things are getting easier to do (except for the stretches I have to do to prevent scar tissue from building up between my ribs - owie). Life is an adventure for sure!

He is so cute and you can see on his face that he is a naughty little terror  Grin Hopefully things will calm down soon.

take care, hope that you feel better soon. I have injured my wrist in aerial yoga and it takes forever for it to heal since somehow I keep re-injuring it, even by simple things like opening a can of cat food. Grrrrr. This time around I', doing wrist physio exercises and slowly stretching it so hopefully it will heal OK and not too stiff.

Oh gosh, Haboob really is adorables.   Kiss  In that first photo, he looks a little like a spider monkey.   Cheesy

How sweet that Stormy sometimes grooms him!  What does Haboob think of that?

Hopefully now that he's neutered he'll calm down a tiny bit and Smoggy will get along with him.  Fingers crossed!

And as for you - holy smokes, running and you fell on your ribs?  That doesn't sound like an easy thing to do, ouch!!  You have particular stretches so as to prevent scar tissue?!  Oh geez!  That really must have hurt!

Hope you (and you, too, Alek0) are back to regular as soon as possible!

Hoping too that the neuter will have Haboob settling down a little & that Stormy will start to like him more. Hope you heal quickly too ! I fell on the deck steps years ago & cracked & bruised my rib cage , it took forever to stop hurting ! Don't forget to do breathing exercises , its common to take shallow breaths because of the soreness .

Alek, I remember you mentioning your wrist a while ago. Sorry that it's taking so long to heal! Arm injuries are the worst. It's not easy to stop using your hands, elbows, shoulder etc - any joint really. I mean I got work to do!  Cheesy

August, Haboob seems to really enjoy Stormy's grooming. I think he still misses his mom a little bit. As for my poor ribs, I was actually walking during my cool down and I tripped over a speed bump.  Roll Eyes I put my arm out to break my fall but it was my weak arm and it collapsed and my ribs took most of the impact. It's worse today and I had to take some pain medicine. I may go see a doctor if it's not better tomorrow. It's been a week and it should be getting better not worse. I wonder if I slept on it wrong.

Leslie I'm trying to do deep breathing exercises and it was fine until today when it was very painful to breathe in. I'm not sure why it's worse. I hate that it takes longer to heal when you're old!

Haboob continues to heal up well. He was being a butthead last night - harassing Stormy when she was trying to sleep, on my bed, at 2am. Seriously kitty, we're trying to sleep here!  Cheesy I put him in his kennel for 10 minutes and that calmed him down enough for Stormy to get some peace. She slept in the cat tree. Smoggy has been sleeping in the living room as he has no patience for Haboob right now.

Oh man, imagining that fall makes me cringe.   Embarrassed  That must have been awful.  I hope you were with someone or someone kind was near at hand.  I hope you won't need to go see the doctor again and that you're back on the mend and feeling better today.

Sounds like things are relatively being managed over there with the kitties - that's great to hear!  Looking forward to more photos when you're able.   Smiley
