Ok, I cannot figure out how to get Barkley's photo into this message.  Could someone please help me.  Other people's messages include photos, so I know it is possible.  :-)    I see the image brackets for insert image, but don't seem able to put anything in between them.   I tried a copy, but when I try to paste between the brackets, there is no "paste" activated for me to click on.  I know how to attach photos in email messages, but in that situation I am presented with a menu to browse my files and I click on the file.  Here I don't see any way to browse my files and select one.  copying and pasting has not worked.  Thanks for any help.

In order to embed Barkley's photo and use the "image" tags, it needs to be hosted on an external site such as Flickr (free.)  To simply attach it to the post (it will display smaller), cllick on "additional options" below the post box, and add the picture as an attachment.

If you decided to go the Flickr route, instructions are here:

I am trying to attach a small photo of Barkley using the options method.

Well, we now have a nice picture of Barkley! Thanks for posting it. I hope you have more of him and pictures of all the others -- I'd love to see them as well.

Oh, he was a handsome tabby!  (For those who don't know, clicking or double-clicking on the attachment will make it a little bigger.  I agree--if you have any pictures of his mom and littermates, I'd love to see them.)

jj, Catwoods, LeslieK, Mandycat, Bug, thank you for your kind replies.  As you can see, my dear Barkley had a bit of a weight problem.  By the time I realized it had gotten out of hand, it was very hard to reverse safely.  This photo was taken a few years ago.  Barkley really did love his food, dear old fellow.  Thanks again, and bless you all.

Thank you JoMax.  Yes, Barkley was indeed a big, old sweetie.  I miss him more and more as time goes by. Today was a really bad day.  I have been in denial, and today it all really hit me, quite overwhelming.
I hope you are doing ok.   I noticed your candle and that you are from the UK.   What part are you from.  My ancestors came to the US from Dorsett a few hundred years ago in 1650. Their name was Dorsett actually.  The other side of my family were Bennetts, and came from the UK too.  I have always wanted to go spend time there, but guess I am too old now.  I'd love to see the beautiful cliff area.
Bless you and your angel Max.  BW

Here is another photo of my precious Barkley Peeperton.   He is older in this photo, it was taken a couple years ago, I believe.  He does look more mature in this one, and a bit more serious.
