On the profile page, it says there are board notifications and there's supposed to be a button to subscribe. Duh, I can't find it. Can you explain how that's supposed to work? thank you.

3Cat, Here is somewhat of an explanation of the notifications options. Let me know if you need any help. There should be boxes you can "check" or "uncheck" when you look at your profile page. http://docs.simplemachines.org/index.php?topic=36

JustMe -- Found those, no problem, before I posted. And checked off ones I wanted to unsubscribe from, hit unsubscribe and saved changes. However, that does not seem to be working because still show up in "Show new replies to your posts." Also, not getting email post updates since November 6. Sorry to be a mass of not workings :-D. Did find notify on blue tab and hit it for board notifications in doing all this, but that does not seem to be working. Wanted to be notified of new posts to several boards, and so far, zippo. My computer skills are pretty average. So don't get it. Still not getting email notifications about anything, no board topics, and posts since last visit all seem a little dicey since November 6. Anyone else having problems? Thank you.

Is anyone else having this problem? Wondering if it's a server config issue...

does that mean we're going to get notifications now?
mine stopped after the forum move. all of the pm and post notifications and i cannot get them back..
even set up offy2 in exasperation to use "notify" to see if it notifications shake loose and it didn't.

Well, I got a notification for the message you just sent... so I'm not sure what's going on... apparently topic notifications are working...

Returning to topics once I'm logged in are working for me, Filbert. But nothing except the Daily Digest is coming through my email program (OE Express6x), and I honestly have checked to make sure junk mail filter is off, nor is anything showing up when I sign in to my email box directly online as having been put in trash.
I do get PM messages, also, once logged in to the forums site.

I just got a forum notification and another notification for this topic as well...
However, it only seem to work sometimes... which is really odd.
These sorts of errors are really frustrating b/c they're not something as simple as a mis-configuration and they aren't easily reproducible...
At this point, it does not look like a problem with anyone's e-mail, it seems to be something with the e-mail server. But I don't know what it could be!

Just thanks for trying to figure it out, Filbert. I'll sure let you know if I start getting any email other than Digest, but I'm sure you know more about computers than I do.
