I probably just missed it some where but I wanted to thank everyone involved in bringing Itchmo to life and I'm heart broken that it is gone. In my opinion Itchmo was a must visit site and the fact they couldn't make a living at it is very disheartning. I would have thought advertisers would flock to you and the fact that they didn't does not bode well for serious citizen journalism.
Once again, thank you and I hope to see you again.

http://pets.groups.yahoo.com/group/all_chihuahuas/Advertisers want to be associated with folks that will buy their goods - unfortunatley, this type of journalism (i.e. blogging, and the folks it attracts) is not what they want (you know, the type of folks that really think, not your typical impulse buyer).

In our current recessive society, and with the General Election coming up - folks are having to flock their dollars elsewhere (I know many getting ready to dump Microsoft stock, the writing is on the proverbial wall). They want upbeat, click and buy.
Too bad it changed from their original format, to one requiring advertising dollars to succeed. However, the forums still provide useful info.
