Itchmo, I seem to be moving at snail pace (other sites okay) and I don't think it's me (but it could be)--are you experiencing technical difficulties or have I just become too impatient in my old age??? Grin

Carol

Site is slow today, but then my download speeds have decreased quite a bit too. Don't know what is going on, there are reports on another thread about general internet slowdown. they aren't sure why.

I have noticed them taking a couple extra seconds, which isn't a huge issue... i will try to take a closer look tonight

a couple extra seconds,

Filbert

Some take a few seconds, some posts can take 30 sec. LIke I mentioned the internet in general is very slow today. My download speeds are a fraction of normal. Probably nothing wrong with the site, just general traffic.

Today?  Everytime I post something on itchmo, it takes a full minute -- usually -- for the post to go through.  While reading posts, it takes at least that long to get to the next page.  The ONLY other website that I've experienced this kind of slowdown is eBay on a Sunday evening when eBay has its highest traffic time.  But itchmo doesn't show nearly as much traffic at any given moment as eBay, so WTF???

It's been off and on slow for me too. I had a webhost once that had a spammer that was sending thousands of spam emails in one big bash slowing down the server drastically.

I agree.  Trying to respond or quote the posts take forever.  As I am typing the whole page has not even showed up, including the boxes within the post-ability frame!  To scroll backwards through the pages, is worse, and posting, well fetching is drawn out for quite some time that I actually think I have not hit the preview.

One other thing I noticed is, Itchmos won't even pull up as a site and I am left behind, even though have hit the link, on the same page I originally intended to leave.  I thought when this began, a week or half or so ago, it was the size of the "server" or my own cpu, as I have about six to seven open pages going at a time, but having just purchased this, I was kind of skeptical and began to wonder if someone or something was tampering with the site.

Filbert, I know my hotmail account is experiencing a HUGE influx of "spam", more than I normally have, so perhaps this idea is not so far off base (?).  Is there any way of checking this?  I have 10 or more unwanteds, and for me, that is way off the usual "hit list" number.  Thank YOU!

Sincerely,
Donna

Whole lot of spam the last 2 days, maybe a general internet slowdown, DOS, etc.

Both Itchmo and the forums have been out for about 30 minutes. Neither page will load.

Back on now, 11:30am MT
