 Huh

I've noticed for a couple of days that the BOLD code is not working.

What's up?

Well....the color codes work, but NOt the BOLD.

I'm on IE and never had a problem with bold before. I never experienced the all bold all the time problem.

However, for a couple of days using the bold code gets nothing different in the font/text.

Lemme show you.....here is what is supposed to show as bold:
Does this look bold to you?

...It doesn't to me.

Yes, that one line is showing up in bold for me. Works in both IE7 and Firefox. Maybe there's something in your settings that's screwing up the fonts?  Huh

OrangeFuzzBall

Thanks, I am still not seeing bold on anyone's post...not just mine I found out.

Is this next line still looking bold to you??
This line does not look bold to me.

Also, the italic code may also be awash for me now ...

Wonder what happened. Things were fine until the bold went running amuck on the forum for others.

filbert,

My settings have not changed, but you did modity the ones on the forum when some were having too much bold (I wasn't having any problem).

When that modification was made, my bold (and I think the italic also) disappeared. Not just on my post but on everyone's I read.

What happened?

It must be some strange style issue with SMF forums and IE.  Eventually, one day we may put a new style on this forum to match the main site, but I'm not sure when.

I'll see if there's an easy fix but if not, then you could (maybe) use all CAPS instead of bold?  Hopefully no one will think you're yelling...

One other thing though.. when you click the bold button, does it alter your text to show {b}{/b}  (except using [] instead of {})?  It's just not appearing when you view it, right?

Filbert,
An easy fix would be appreciated. Smiley

Yes, the codes are all there (I don't use the buttons, tho, I do my own) but the other posts I have seen (that may use the buttons?) show as code in their writing, but not upon my viewing of their post as well.

LOL on the CAPS....It's too easy to start somethin' doing that...you know how riled the natives get sometime. Grin

Thanks.
