Oh, fantastic!!  He's in great hands now, and will get lots of good care, attention & love.  Way to go Tomkin, you did a good job!

And now Peaches won't feel like the odd one out anymore with another canine buddy.

Hey and since it's only my business, I can do an open adoption and give his former human progress reports.

Arlo, that would be great!  I'm sure the man would love hearing how Tomkin is doing.  You could send him pics of Mr. T lounging around in his new home too.

You should start a thread in Help with Sick Pets to gather info on best arthritis treatments.  I think a number of people have dealt with this in both dogs & cats, so you might get a variety of options to explore.  There are probably yahoo dog arthritis groups too.  They usually have tons of info on them.

Arlo- Thats wonderful ! Do you have somewhere he can swim ? Thats a good non weight bearing exercise for arthritis & spinal problems. Fish oil ,gluc/chond/msm & lyprinol can be helpful too & vit c helps inflammation. rcexplorer is trying the lyprinol, you could ask her about it. Massage can help also. His former owner will be thrilled when you tell him !  Kiss Kiss Kiss

Arlo, this is fantastic to hear!  Peg is correct, one more thing is right in the world.  (Too bad there is no emoticon here for "feeling blissful."

wow! congrats on your new pup!   Cheesy

thanks for saving him from the shelter. Do you have his x-rays or his old vets number? You might want to check and see if a chiropractor or a round or 2 of acupuncture might help steady him some. My mom used a chiro for her doxie in his later years and it really helped  Smiley You also might want to check into Omega oils because for some reason I think they may help also, but who knows why I'm thinking that!

That's the best thing I've read today! I wish I could be a 'fly on the wall' when you tell his former owner.

Arlo agree with Chels - Tomkin was in the right place and his angel came along to rescue him, what a beautiful thing you've done.
