I haven't been on for a while. Missed You all though.
I'm afraid I have some news Roll Eyes
When I brought the rescue cats home [The hightland lynx] I couldn't touch them for a few days, so I didn't seperate them immediately. Right after that, i took the male and put Him into another place until I could get them all "fixed".
On feeding up today, I noticed one of the females is preg. How could I have been so stupid, they should have been seperated that very day! I picked them up on July 30th. So, unless she has them tomorrow, then it will be my fault. Just what I need, when I'm trying to find some good homes. I'm very upset with Myself.
So any of you who said they might take a cat or two - I will be in touch as soon as I get the adults all "fixed". It doesn't matter now if I have the money or not, they will be getting done soon.
So I will keep You all informed on how the mama is doing.
We are having kittens on Itchmo.  Shocked Shocked Shocked

Oh my, Trudy!  so you are going to have Highland Lynx kittens on your hands?!?!

At least kittens are easier to find homes for than adult cats.  Maybe once they are ready to leave mom, you will be able to adopt them out fairly easily.

I would not count on it being your problem for sure, however.  Sometimes cats' gestation periods do vary, as you know, just like with people.

When they do arrive, kitten pictures would be very interesting (hint, hint  Cheesy )

I know this is the last thing you need right now, but KITTENS again !  Smiley My DH will probably send me to live with you,but I will take a cat. A kitten if need be, but preferably an adult. I guess a female would be best since I have 2 males now.

I wish I could take a kitten. I've been thinking that Mia would love one to rule over and bat around  Wink. Pip would love the lack of attention from her right now, but I think Katey would keel over.

Thanks everyone. And i'll try to get pictures. the females are very shy and one very mean.
Lesleik, I'm going to take you up on that. I have a male who is the sweetest thing. And a couple of females who are very shy and some are mean.
As soon as I get them spayed and nuetered, I hope they calm down a little. I thought you wanted 2? They can be indoor, outdoor as soon as they get used to your place. The male is the best looking for a highland lynx. But whatever You want will help out.
and thanks Lesleik, for the coupons. I appreciate it a lot.

Trudy- Sorry I had company last night & didn't get to check all the posts. Let me know when you are ready & if anyone else in the NE can take 1 too. We can either drive down together or I can do it & meet them somewhere up here.

First, let Me say I'm sorry I haven't been on for a while. I hope I didn't miss too much. I did miss You guys though.
I'm sorry to tell You that The mother cat, rescue, had 2 kittens last week, and they both died. It was too sad to talk about.
I have an appointment to get 2 of them "fixed" next week. Then I'll make the appointment for the other 2.

I hope they settle down a little bit at least. I will never find a home for them, they act too wild. I can touch them now, but they spit and sputter and scream at Me the whole time. It would probably scare someone else. I think 1 on 1 they would do much better. I don't know what they went through, but they act like they're scared all the time.

The mother cat seems to be doing great. She left them and went into Her box. Maybe she was too young? I have no idea how old She, they,  are. I'm going to ask the vet.
