This was actually taken after he had healed up a bit and was looking better. When he first started coming around a couple months ago, he had large open raw wounds and he had bald spots and clumpy fur. His fangs were also all broken off.

I used antibiotic ointment to cover his wounds and began combing him, which he loved. I also started feeding he some good canned foods. His fur was growing back and was becoming much softer.
The strange thing is that he showed no aggression towards my other cats at all. I think the poor thing was just having to defend himself against who knows what kinds of critters that might have been living in that old house.
Mandycat, I totally agree with you about how anyone could just up and leave a pet behind to fend for itself with no other thought about it. And it always seems like those pets are the most loving and loyal of them all. That's probably why he returned night after night back to his house, the only "home" he knew.
We've had high winds and storms the past several days and I am glad that he is now indoors and safe, warm and dry.
