IMHO, that sounds like an idea whose time has come.

We have a government that spends much time and energy to bail out Wall Street, take care of wooden arrow makers, wool researchers, race car tracks, and rum makers.  And don't forget how much our lives will improve when the citizenry is forced to convert to digital TV next February.

The FDA's decision that allows food (except formula) to contain up to 2.5 ppm of melamine is very disturbing.  And of course, the FDA's "science" doesn't consider that melamine may be contaminated with other chemicals, i.e., cyanuric acid.

Yesterday, I sent an email to this area's security advisor at the Department of Homeland Security.  His solution:  eat organic.

We're in a heap of trouble.

That is disturbing, isn't it?  I think insiders know, just like the highly placed party officials in China.

Well, if this wasn't so serious it would almost be comical... Angry  Dept of Homeland Security should be involved in the importing of foods after 9-11...or am I not seeing the whole picture  Huh  Last March  2007 one thing I had a hard time with was the fact that this adulteration in the food supply was not a priority...maybe to the "head honchos" it was just pet food but I remember saying to the press and to friends and family "where else is this crap going to show up"...I would hate to think I had more foresight than the Department of Homeland Security of the country I live in..   Angry And now to see many countries taking a pro-active approach to Chinese imports while we are still sitting here saying "a little is okay for ya folks"...well, I am planning some letter writing today and then faxing....I have heard that is a more effective way of reaching our legislators....I hope it is as I had too many to count emails go unanswered last year...and don't worry I will share any responses with all of us here..... Angry

Maybe you should send him a copy of the link about the Taiwanese health minister being attacked and hospitalized.  Just for his information.

And organic food could be just as easily contaminated.  Melamine is a chemically organic compound.
