I was wondering if maybe contacting research nephrologists for referrals might be a way to find a good lab.  Sometimes research papers have their emails.

I contacted the National Kidney Foundation awhile ago about the melamine being in the Chinese baby formula but did not get a response back.

I read thru this great stuff provided at PetConnection, one thing really jumped out at me and it was a statement I think from Deep Harm about the possibility of babies getting one kind of formula that has melamine and another that has cyanuric acid..in other words, some babies get a mix of different formulas.   Angry  This is a friggin nightmare come true.

FDA Draws Fire Over Chemicals In Baby Formula (WATCH WHAT YOUR GRANDCHILDREN EAT)

Since 2000 the 'Rules Have Changed'. Industry and Campaign Contributors Vs 'The People/The Masses, they like to call us all in Washington DC...Cute term?

It is every man, woman and CHILD for themselves! INDUSTRY gets a FREE PASS. There are 'No Investigations' and "No Rules" whatsoever! Profit is the name of the game. Campaign Contributors will always get away with murder! illegals are being hired in the MILLIONS, while the Politicians 'PRETEND' we are watching the borders. Drugs are being 'Imported' and killing our young like never before! Ports and Borders being 'watched more closely?' Yeah, right!

Write your Senator's and Congress and DEMAND we get equal time and equal rights! They are killing us with 'Chemicals in our food'. To add chemicals in order to INCREASE VOLUME/WEIGHT is EVIL. The Chinese have done it for decades but, to allow this poo poo in to the United States and now to learn our manufacturers do it too, well, again another reason the people WILL rise up and hit the streets and fight back. We have no choice! They will not protect us as long as we continue sitting on the damn couch, eating cheeseburgers and pizza and saying NOTHING! How stupid are we as a nation to ALLOW such madness? Oil, Drug Companies, Insurance, Military, Energy conglomerates, and others are destroying us all and putting us in DEBT, and  like the CARLYLE GROUP who make profit with 'World Wars' and 'World Chaos' , they too must be stopped.

We are running out of time! People are dying and our way of life (Pre-2000) will be lost forever.

I know you're not going to believe this, folks, my living room ceiling caved in after three
days of heavy rain here in my city in the desert. So I've got my hands full picking up sogged
gypsum board and popcorn coating, too.
I am reading just this thread, and see your ideas on labs and stuff, which I definitely need
based on my grandson's health history. So nothing is open this weekend, including roofing
contractors. Monday I start on the labs for Hunter, among other things.
We're still talking to the urologist, who is skeptical, but not totally unwilling to consider at
least preliminary screening for presence of melamine crystals.
My posts are going to be very short for the next little while. So please keep following the
articles and posting them, since the FDA is not. Thank you, all.

3cat,
So sorry to hear of this terrible happening.  Have you contacted your insurance company?  I think that they have contacts that can come and at least put a tarp on your roof to prevent further damage.  My prayers are with you.

What an awful thing to have to deal with. I'm so sorry that this has happened to you. Surely there are emergency folks who can do something to help you out today.

Off to light a candle for you and your grandson.

Mandycat, rain ended on Thanksgiving. Ceiling collapsed Friday, just in living
room. Odd looking at insulation hanging from your ceiling. So no rain predicted.
Had continuous desert thunder storms, including one that stayed over my house
for almost an hour. Problem is roof has developed a lowered area where the water pools.
Never buy a house with a flat roof, never ever, ever, ever.
Well, if trouble comes in threes, I should be done for a while. I hope so. This is just
stuff, objects. No cats were under it. Wish I could fix the melamine problems.

Where did Arlo go? He's such a sweetheart and now a guest Huh

3cat,

I'm so sorry to read that your roof has caved in at the same time that you are so worried about little Hunter's formula problems.  #$%& that FDA for allowing this milk situation to happen in the first place. They should have learned how to protect the food supply after all the recalls that have happened in the last 2 years.

(((((((hugs - 3cat and Hunter)))))))

3cat..........Sending you the BIGGEST {{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}
Very happy to learn there were no injuries.

Perhaps you can use this to further encourage Hunter's urologist

OMG 3cat, just when you think it can't get any worse...

I'm hoping that you can get the roof taken care of quickly, so that you will be free to concentrate on helping your grandson.  I'm hoping he has not been affected by melamine.  Cry

3cat, I'm so sorry to hear of your roof collapsing! But so relieved that there were no injuries! Once Monday comes, hopefully you will be able to get it taken care of quickly, and work on helping your grandson.
