"Finally, the company is recalling Seng Jong Tzu Tong Tan, a product that contains human placenta. Human placenta may transmit disease and dietary supplements that contain it may not be lawfully marketed in the United States. "

I've been grossed out since I read my FDA mail yesterday.  Guess that is why cannibals are jumping out my anxiety closet!

Doctor warns against placenta extract

Friday, August 31, 2007

"A doctor in Hong Kong has warned against an injection or oral intake of placenta extract after a Taiwanese woman became infected with CJD, the human form of mad cow disease.
The United Daily News reported yesterday a 46-year-old beautician in Tianan may be suffering from the rare and incurable brain-wasting illness Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease, after receiving injections or orally taking placenta extract over a period of time.

Placenta extract is a substance extracted from a human or animal placenta which is claimed to delay aging. It is also used in many hair and skin-care products...."

What wont they try-sheesh this is sickening and they got what they deserved-not knowing what this could do to you and they believed as the sheeple here also do what the big pharma tells you as the truth. Why not inject pig poop too and see how young that will make them? If not they can always use bird poo. This is just too gross. Human placenta - what were they thinking. Oh excuse me, they were thinking?

I meant to post when this topic first came upon the board, but forgot all about it in the midst of all that is going on in life!

But, interestingly enough, human placenta is eaten by human mothers.  Ah, yeah, I know: I don't know if I could do it, either!

I've seen these sorts of products at the health food store and thought it was totally sick.  I really think products containing bodily fluids need to be regulated.  I could not believe my eyes.
