Has anyone had blood test done on their pets that peculiarities such as some things to high and some to low . This would be odd things in chemistry and hematology. The test do not show urine or kidney problem. How would an overdose of vitamins show up?

Our todays paper has an article that" China denies pressuring the World Bank to cut data from adraft of an envirolmental report that pollution caused about 750,000 premature deaths nationwide annually."financial times" reported that Beijing had persuaded the bank to cut findingsthat outdoor pollution levels in Chinese cities cause 350,000to 400,000 premature deaths each year.Poor in door air kills 300,000 and more than 60,000 die due to poor water quality."

Why isn't our government stopping all imports from China??

Maybe this has something to do with corn syrup being the number one ingredient in most prepared food. It is the number one ingredient in a brand name catsup, strawberry jam etc. I have started reading ingredients on labels and I have been totally shocked to put it mildly!!

jj after reading your posts I have decided to give up all grains . I am reading labels and not buying any products that contain corn syrup. I have realized corn syrup pollutes nearly every condiment or prepared food I buy. It is the number two ingredient in diet salad dressing .The number one ingredient is water.

I also feel we need to try and stop the farm bill 2007 as it does not look like they are going to push for enforcement of COOL or to change farm subsidies to help people growing organic foods. It also appears they may change the requirements for organics and some products will not really be organic.

I have all my four legged friends on california naturals and evo . Their treats are organic carrots and innova. Their coats look great they have lots of energy and appear totally healthy.

The neighbor does this with out a conscience, it seems . Last year I saw a van picking samples of melons out of his and his neighbors fields. The van had the name of a genetics company on the side. The salesman for this Genetics company was bragging about how many geneyically altered seed customers he has that grow and sell produce for human consumption!!!

Our todays paper has an article ETHANOL BOTTLENECK  wriitten by Michael Hill Associated press writer. It seems UL Underwriters Laboratories have failed to certify the ethanol fuel dispensers as safe as they are still testing them. The article goes on to say that "in March,14 farm-state senators urged Ul to certify the dispensers." The article then states "this is just the way safety standards are developed,"Drengenberg said," We don"t cut corners."

It looks like this is one organization that hasn't been bought off, maybe they could teach the pet food companys, FDA, USDA , agribusinesses about ethics , honesty and integrity. ALSO SAFE FOOD , WATER AND AIR!!!

The pets that died truly seem to be the canary in the coal mine.
ADM who know has factories in China was trying to get the government to show an interest in corn ethanol in the Nixon Johnson era. They have also spent a lot of money on elections. I think we need to get the corn ethanol stopped as it sole purpose seems to be lining the pockets of large farms and agri businesses.

My neighbor whom drives a horse and buggy is growing GMO sweet corn which will be sold at a local produce auction and then sold to other farm makets and grocery stores. I will not buy sweet corn this year unless it is organic. It will not be sold as GMO just as sweet corn and the buyer will not have a clue that it is GMO.

Hi count me in  a willing enlistee in Alices Army. I am active in the puppy mill issue in my state, so am used to letter writing emails etc. I have a cocker with no eyes lying at my feet. She is one of the most inspirational dogs I have ever seen. Although she was used as an money machine most of her life , allowed to suffer with untreated qlaucoma and had something embedded in her neck  and just yanked out she still loves people. She now has her canine good citizen title and visits a nursing home. God I would be sick if her food killed her although some Diamond did make her and my other rescues sick.
