121  Pet Food Info (Menu Foods, Iams, Purina, Hills, Ol'Roy, etc.) / News (Recall Related) / Question on Mixing food, not rotating on: May 14, 2007, 12:27:58 PM
I have been feeding Orijen Adult dog food for 2-3 weeks now and have
weened my dog off the Blue Buffalo dry food.....On a daily basis can I give half amount
of the Orijen with say half Canidae or another premium dry food???
I read where this may not be advised, but I don't see the harm....
I'm a little worried that the Orijen nutritional amounts may be a bit high,
and wanted to counter with another dry with less amounts of certain nutrients...

Also, can anyone recommend an excellent canned dog food to supplement with the dry food 2-3 times per week...Do any of these canned food companies have their own canning facility?
Is it better if they do?
Please advise..
Thanks
Ken and Wilbur

Hi has anyone tried these products??
If so, are you happy with them?

I was thinking of using either The Honest kitchen line or
Sojos 2 to 3 days per week and Orijen the other 4 to 5 days per week..
Any thoughts?
Thanks

I believe, though I am not 100% sure, that Orijen Adult Dog Food contains 7.5mg/kg of Iodine..
Is that high???
Also what is considered too high of an Ash content?
Does anyone know the Ash content of Orijen Adult Dog Food

Thanks
