1  Pet Food Info (Menu Foods, Iams, Purina, Hills, Ol'Roy, etc.) / Dog Food Experiences By Brand / Spots Stew ( Halo) dry dog food on: February 29, 2008, 02:47:26 PM
Has anyone heard anything about the Spots Stew dry food, I have fed at times the Spots Stew canned but last time I was at Petco for treats I saw that they now carry the Spots Stew dry, it seems good and comes in Salmon or Chicken variety, I picked up at bag but its really $$$, I think the bag is 15 pounds for $38.99 I normally feed Evo but wanted to switch up the food this time around. It has dehydrated pieces in it that I first wet with warm water and soak.
Just wondering if someone else had tried it yet.
2  Pet Food Info (Menu Foods, Iams, Purina, Hills, Ol'Roy, etc.) / News (Recall Related) / Re: Problems w/ Innova and test results- on: July 04, 2007, 10:19:03 AM
Reading this made me wonder, I had bought several bags of Innova Low fat dog food when a pet store was going out of business...nothing wrong with the bags, in date.
I started feeding it and the dogs were going through LOTS of water every day, couldn't hole urine, urinating during the night all over the house, tested the urine, dilute but no infection...one of the older dogs showed kidney issues...I didn't feel right about the food, then the recalls started happening....I stopped feeding it, started cooking and it all (urinating immense water intake) stopped....
I still have an unopened bag 33lb of food that I may testm I am holding on to it.
I am again feeding the Innova regular and cal nat and not having any of those problems, so I really think its seomthing in the food....

4  Pet Behavior and Health Questions / Veterinary and Medications / Re: What vaccine protocol do you follow for your dogs? on: May 06, 2007, 10:23:54 AM
I would NEVER give any small breed dog a Lepto vaccine.....At our hospital we do over 20,000 clients a year and the ONLY ones that get Lepto are the working police dogs ( they want it , its in our contract) and some big dogs that are hunting dogs, swimmers etc...
We do not vaccinate unless they are over 50 pounds and under 6 years old other than the police dogs.

NONE of my dogs are vaccinated and they go to shows, work, parks etc....
I suggest googling harmful side effects of vaccines, I used to be a vaccinated 2 xs a year person now my dogs don't get any of this poison...

Also we do not vaccinated pets over 12 years old or those with immune problems.

There are so many articals out there that show you , please do your own research like I did and don't just jump on what others want to do to your pet
