Ok I am calmer now.  First I did feed them some cans I am not sure exactly.  I will be watching them all night.  I have not seen any signs that either are sick.  I have 11 cans unopened, I have the receipt and have notified the place where I bought this case. I will go outside and dig out that can with the white thing in it and the other can I threw out just because it looked odd as well. I never use dented cans and i noticed as i was couting the ones I have that many are dented.  No can has exploded or opened though and I would noticed the smell by now if one had.  My best quess is maybe I have feed them 7 cans.  I will call my vet asap in morning and just watch them like a hawk tonite.  I dont look forward to putting that bad can in the freezer but I will. I would not send all the cans to the Mfg, I am keeping some and I will probably need to send them out for testing.  I remember seeing a place to send them in these forums but it was a long time ago. I will take pictures of the cans I have in the trash as well. Thank you so much for your advice.

Thank you

I have not written on this forums since the terrible food crisis last year but I had to tell you guys this.
I only feed my cats Chicken soup for the cat lover's soul adult canned and dry but the cans marked best by 2/19/10 are not good.  I am not sure what is going on but they smell different and look different than before.  First I thought maybe because they were so new but now I know something is wrong. One can i opened was grey and black in color, i threw that one out asap.  I thought maybe it is was a bad can but tonite I opened a can and there was a huge piece of something white.  I grabbed food and threw it out. I have contacted Chicken soup but i had to see if others have noticed this. I have 11 cans left.  I am scared to death. I dont know what else to do but I felt I should at least see if anyone here has that issue or maybe it is just one bad case, I dont know.

Help me

I am feeding my kids the last of a case of chicken soup for the kitten lover , it was mfg before the recall so it's expiration date is ok according to chicken soup people.
i am feeding dry chicken lovers for kittens
Frankly I am scared to death to try anything else.  I have a case of felidae for kittens but one of my cats does not eat it.  I have a case of evolve kitten food with a expiration date after the recall date but i am afraid to use it.  I went to the grocery store and bought a bunch of friskies that do not have any wheat gluten or rice flour.  I have not feed them any yet.   I have ordered spot's stew, innova, eagle pack and chicken lovers for adult hairball, merricks sample pack, evangers none of these have arrived yet.  To be honest I am begining to lose sleep over this.  I make a decision and then another recall or I find a post about food I have that is bad.  I am making a list of the foods that fit my new rules.  Nothing from Menu, I hate them , Nothing from ANI i hate them too and darn it Diamond cause i just cannot risk my pets lives any more.  Yes that narrows the field down quite abit.  Any company that can prove it tests it's product before it leaves where ever it was mfg and can prove said test i will reconsider.  I am scared , my friends think i am nuts and say gesh just feed them friskies.  My vet said purina dry , they dont need wet.  Yes I realize I know more about pet nutrition than most vets at this point.  I cannot trust the FDA.  Whenever they call ALL CLEAR COME BACK AND EAT NOW within 24 hours there is a recall.  I only trust itchmo, the pets list and petconnection blog well lets say i only trust people that feel the same way I do.  We dont wanta poison our family just because big money, corrupt government, ad dollars and some idiot FDA announcement says it is ok all is safe.  I trust you guys , the people that truly get how bad this is and how bad it can become. What would be great is if we could receive test data not the FDA or maybe create a sorta neighborhood watch program for food.  I try to tell everyone I talk to about this nightmare and how is it not over.  The bottom line is money talks and my money is not gonna help any company poison any pets.  I will post my decision when and if i can make one.  Oh and yes i know about rendering plants and merrick.  I don't cook so great and I have not checked out the additives yet but it is not out of the question but it is my last resort.  I need help lol  Sorry about the long rant this is my first post Embarrassed
