22  Other/Misc / Off Topic (No Politics) / Re: "Distributed by" labels on: November 18, 2008, 06:14:58 PM
A little Whole Foods expose from earlier this year - look at the list in the second link.
Notice how most fresh goods are not China, but frozen and otherwise processed are frequently from China.  Now that they will have to label fresh goods, they will probably drop China fresh products, like TJ's did, but continue to use them in packaged and frozen goods.  Thus the "distributed by" label to hide it!

JanC found this at whole foods and its 17.99 for a 29oz jar and lasts for quite a long time. 100% raw organic unrefined extra-virgin coconut oil. Will pm you the name, etc.

wow I am feeling lucky I pay only 6.99-10.99 for organic raw here for about that size

I have always thought cats being carnivores would be more likely to get it from less activity look at humans.. No one thing is responsible but a few factors are always there:)

This is what I found:

http://www.jlr.org/cgi/reprint/35/11/2032.pdf

Let me know what it says, ok? Grin

LOL Jan, I'll let you know what it says the minute I finish my 8 years in med/vet school OK?   Grin

ETA: Which wont be happening anytime soon LOL  Cwipes, I'd need a walker or wheelchair by the time I finished and would be so senile I'd probably think it was all alien-speak anyhow.

same here..

my understanding is coconut oil is good for heart , coat and skin in animals .. not commonly used and unless organic I would not feed it ///
30  Other/Misc / Recall (Non-Pet Food) / Re: Sun Nov 16 08 Cereal in stores at rock bottom prices? on: November 16, 2008, 04:37:05 PM
some supply and demand .. some it was a good crop and bushel prices were low, plus it is mid fall and the harvest is fully in ... gas prices are also down = lower overall costs
