1  Product Reviews and Discussions / Cat Toys and Other Products / Crystal Litter on: August 26, 2007, 02:09:32 AM
Does anyone else use the litter crystals?  I'm beginning to think I'm one of the few.  It's hard to find a deal on them and am wondering if anyone can recommend where I can get them cheaper.  I currently pick them up at Target, they have an off brand, can't remember the name, but it's cheaper than Fresh Step and Tidy Cats.  I tried buying some from cheappetstore.com, and they billed me but never sent me anything.  So now I'm trying to find another place that may have a better price since they are pretty expensive.  Any suggestions?  Thanks!

I have two Siamese cats that I have been feeding Holistic Select Salmon, Sardine, and Anchovy dry for the last month.  I had a coupon for buy 3 get 1 free for the canned and have fed them 3 cans so far.  They've eaten it up, but they're not very picky.  We were giving them 9 Lives canned prior.  We give them half a can for both cats on top of their dry at dinner every day.  I will buy it again since they are on sale right now and have more coupons for the buy 3 get 1 free.  With the discount and coupon, one large can of Eagle Pack is cheaper than a small can of Fancy Feast, so I think it's a good deal.

I have a 16 month-old, 71 pound English bull terrier that is on Holistic Select from Eagle Pack.  I feed him the Salmon, Sardine, and Anchovy due to an assumed meat sensitivity.  Our breeder originally fed the puppies Eukanuba medium breed, and I switched Riley to Holistic Select's Giant Breed puppy food.  He went bananas over it when I first fed it to him.  Here's a picture of him trying to sneak some more after eating his meal:

But after having some itchy spots and a rash on his nose, the vet suggested eliminating meat all-together if we could.  It seemed to work when we switched him to the Salmon, Sardine, and Anchovy, and we have to check the ingredients in all treats we feed him.  When I originally decided to switch from the Eukanuba puppy, I e-mailed Eagle Pack and received a response within a few hours.  They were very helpful.  I've since switched my two Siamese cats to the same formula for cats, and they've been on it for about a month.  I've noticed that they are vomiting less.  So far so good.

Riley's breeder asked us what food we were feeding him because his coat is so shiny.  There's a noticable oiliness to the food from the fish oils, even more so with the cat food.

I have seen some very positive reviews for all of the Eagle Pack foods on Petco's site.  You may want to go there for some reviews on the particular food you are deciding on.  But I, for one, am very happy with it (would be even happier if it were cheaper  Grin)
