Yes, I spoke with TWO a few times back in Early April as well as emails..I think I still may have the emails. I am not impressed that they are first now doing a voluntary recall, it should have been done back in April. Along, back then, I discussed with them the ingredients discrepencies, which they still claim they have never changed ingredients, that the bags were labeled wrong. Well... I didn't decide to use TW looking at the bags, they also had the old ingredients listed on their website wrong then because based on their website ingredients listing is why I chose to use TWO. I feel like I have gotten nothing but a big run around from them on all matters, and MHO is I wouldn't believe anything they say at this point. My thoughts are initially they were hoping it was isolated instances, I am thinking it is a bit more widespread then they contemplated and at this point have no choice but to post a recall. I also find it strange they have (or as of yesterday) no date on the recall posting on their website. I even asked their PR person when are they going to recall the bags back in April. His reply was * that's a good question and I will talk to my superiors this afternoon* that was in early April! I honestly have to say I don't think they are good with customer relations Thanks for letting me vent I'm just livid it took so long to publicly recall this food! I also don't beleive they didn't change any ingredients. I have some of the old Bison, and some of the new recalled stuff I saved, at one point I was going to have them analyzed, but never followed thru. REM

Hi Just Me, Thanks for asking, I'm now feeding Fromm. I was a little annoyed when I saw the Timberwolf recall today. As my prior post re: the problems I was having with it, which when I was in contact with Timberwolf, well that was over 2 1/2 months ago. I gave up, always got what seemed to me the same run around. They were aware of the problem then. I was told it was only the Dakota Bison, as it turns out now there are more varieties involved. I was told back then the samething that is being said now, they have tested and can't find anything wrong. They were waiting further test results, well that was at the beginning of April. I wonder if we will ever really know the truth. I was very disappointed that it took them this long to recall. My cousin was also feeding Timberwolf, but the she fed the Southwest Chicken Variety, she bought one of the new bags, and her dog would not eat it, she even bribed with gravy, he still wouldn't touch it, so she took the bag back, I have to see if she wrote down the exp #'s. I know when it comes to trying to select a good food for your dog anymore ...well it seems it's a scarey place out there. REM

Well, I have fed Timberwolf for well over a year now with no problems and the dogs loved it. The new bags I just recently bought, when I opened them is where the trouble began. on the bison would not eat it, 1st 2 days all of a sudden they ate maybe 1/4 cup they get fed 1 cup AM & PM. After almost 2 weeks of a hunger strike I still had a bag of the venison, they ate that. I spoke with them, they claimed no changes to food, just changed the bag hmmm...something is sure different in the food , thought I might have a bad bag opened a new bag still dogs still won't eat it, okay now I know something is not right. Called again, they are having some complaints with that batch # of Bison and will take the food back and exchange it. They told me they tested the food and haven't found anything wrong? Well something is wrong! They said it was only with that particuliar batch of Bison and none of the other varieties, well from what I have read here that doesn't appear to be the truth either. I went to their website today and they have redone it, what caught my eye was I saw no listing of walnut oil and the word chicken fat stood out like a brick!!!! Now they claim the mis labeling on the bag issue but their old website on the Venison...which is why I chose it as my one dog was having issues said ( I found an old listing) I have 3 on Bison & 1 on Venison.
Note: This product uses alternative animal protein sources and may be suitable for dogs that are allergic to regular ones like chicken or beef.
*Ingredients: Venison, whole ground brown rice, lamb, whole ground millet, lamb meal, venison meal, whole ground barley, low ash salmon meal, whole ground flaxseed, carrot, watercress, spinach, celery, parsley, fennel seed, wild salmon oil, unrefined walnut oil,*
I went down & looked evidentally I am still currently feeding off of an old bag, lists walnut oil no chicken fat, new bag lists chicken fat, as does the new Bison bags GRRRR! Now I want to ask them if it was the bags being mislabeled and you changed no ingredients why did you brag up the walnut oil and as above alternative protein sources on your website and not just the bag??? So either they changed ingredients which they deny as of yesterday, was the bags mislabeled.. if so then the chicken fat was in there all along and you were not being truthful on your website.... I don't know which is worse from them!!!! Thanks for listening as I am really a little angry at this point. The other thing I don't understand is they admit to having a problem with this batch and will exchange them, why isn't anything posted about that batch on their website??? REM
