Do your research. She tried to get the city librarian fired because the librarian would not remove "offensive books" from the library. Not to mention her "animal rights" views.
If you are truly a Hillary Clinton supporter, you would never even consider this candidate. She makes my skin crawl.
Okay, then back it up and show us your research to prove Straybaby's post is incorrect so we can take a look at it. It looks to me like Straybaby did her research. Now, if you just have a differing opinion than she does, that's another matter and not one of her not doing proper research.

catmom, just a thought. Have you tried the Wellness kitten canned grain free? When my two seniors refused the regular Wellness canned earlier this year (lack of appetite, not due to the food itself), they dove right into the kitten canned. Plus it has higher calories which may be a plus with a nursing mama. I have my two new kittens on it and they are doing marvelous.
Also, Dick Van Patten's Natural Balance is recommended by breeders for lactating queens, both the canned and the dry (and for kittens, too).
Good luck, there's nothing scarier than a kitty not eating.

OF, Pepcid is a great drug and has helped me with many of my kitties. One of the nice "side effects" is in some cats it can act like an appetite stimulant. I've actually used it as just an appetite stimulant prescribed by the vet since some of the real appetite stimulants zone the cats out or can make them irritable a bit.
Glad to hear it's working and best wishes to KD.

I don't use your name in my posts, but you sure do use mine. Yes, I know how it feels to be caused emotional and physical harm. You follow me around from itchmo to defendourpets and back with your accusations against me. This is called stalking and harassment.
Practice what you preach.

Peg, Interesting you brought this up as it's something I've been wondering about, too. We picked up our new kittens from the breeder when they were about 7 weeks old. They had already received a Heska Ultranasal FRCV at about 4 weeks old. When we got there, the breeder had to give them another vaccine before she could release them to us. She made us go outside, because she said it's a live virus and didn't want to expose the other cats and kittens in her house. I thought, what happens when you walk into a vet's office in a room where they had just administered the vaccine then? She said she only uses the Heska Ultranasal vaccines and does not use the injectibles under any circumstances. She said she had seen too many immediate and long term reactions to them including lessions and cancers. She then administered another Heska Ultranasal FRCV (so this is now about 3 weeks later). She held the kittens, scruffed by the neck, and dropped the vaccine into their little noses. A lot of it didn't make it into their noses, and I asked her if that was okay. She said, absolutely, she didn't want it all to get in because they're only kittens. We have one more vaccine to give at 16 weeks, Heska Ultranasal FVRCP, and we have to because it's in our contract. Since I'll be going to my regular vet for this one, I'm thinking I'm going to ask him to do it outside like the breeder did, not just to protect my kittens but also any others that may come into the room after us. I'll also make sure he "misses" about half of it going in the little noses like the breeder did! After this third vaccine, the breeder said if the cats are indoors only, it's up to us to make that decision then but is not necessarily recommended by her. The only reaction she said we may experience is some sniffles or sneezing. Sure enough, both kittens came down with sneezes about a week later, but it only lasted about 2 days. During this time, they had no other reactions or symptoms. Here's a link on the Heska Ultranasal vaccines: http://www.heska.com/ultranasal/pr_info.asp

90% of America's wealth belongs to 1% of the people.
I don't believe this, it makes us sound like some third world country. I know there aren't many reputable statistics on this, but the last I read was 40% of America's wealth belongs to 1% of the population (by the Federal Reserve Board). I'd like to see some more sources on this if you have them. And, the definition of "wealth" is also widely debated, ie, net assets vs. income. Not all people making high incomes are "wealthy".

Outsourcing US jobs to India and China is the result of decades of political manuevering on both parties, and is just as difficult to stop as US dependence on foreign oil. Both candidates acknowledge this and both have tax relief initiatives discussed for outplaced workers. Obama's statement on outsourcing, not much different than McCains: ''I understand that the challenges facing our economy didn't start the day George Bush took office and they won't end the day he leaves. Some are partly the result of forces that have globalized our economy over the last several decades -- revolutions in communication and technology have sent jobs wherever there's an internet connection; that have forced children in Raleigh and Boston to compete for those jobs with children in Bangalore and Beijing. We live in a more competitive world, and that is a fact that cannot be reversed,'' Obama said in a speech in North Carolina that kicked off what his campaign said was a two-week tour across the US aimed at sharing his economic vision." http://economictimes.indiatimes.com/Obama_or_McCain_How_will_outsourcing_be_affected/articleshow/3117510.cms The Pro-Outsourcing Canidate of the Year: http://www.globalservicesmedia.com/Content/general200806274537.asp

A presidential veto can still be overridden by the House and Senate. Bush has had the fewest vetos since Warren Harding, and 33% of them were overridden. The dems certainly can override a presidential veto with a 2/3 majority in each house, the bill becomes law without the president's signature.

There have been significant tax cuts during Bush's term, including a decrease in individual income tax rates; an increase in the child tax credit; the estate tax reduction; etc. http://www.cato.org/pub_display.php?pub_id=6621The issues since 2006 to the present is as MandyCat states, Congress needs to pass any reforms and it's now controlled by the democrats. The poor, middle class and rich all benefited from the tax reductions, and the inequality of the taxes is contentious, depending on which side of the political table you sit.

My feelings: She's a red-neck And exactly what is wrong with being a redneck woman? From Wikipedia: To outsiders, it is generally a term for white people of Southern or Appalachian rural poor backgrounds — or more loosely, rural poor to working-class people of rural extraction. Arlo, I don't think you meant this, but you can take it back.
