I know!  Isn't this wild!!!  I have a Beta here at work named Orlando (as in Bloom).  I am very tempted to try it with him.  I heard about this through an interview with the inventor on the PetLifeRadio podcast.  What was neat is that fish have great memories!  The interviewer asked quickly did they lose their training if he missed a session with them.  The inventor said he has left his fish for a 1 1/2 weeks, came back and the fish remembered everything!!!!  Can you believe it!

I'm Still Here

Friend, please don't mourn for me
I'm still here, though you don't see.
I'm right by your side each night and day
and within your heart I long to stay.

My body is gone but I'm always near.
I'm everything you feel, see or hear.
My spirit is free, but I'll never depart
as long as you keep me alive in your heart.

I'll never wander out of your sight-
I'm the brightest star on a summer night.
I'll never be beyond your reach-
I'm the warm moist sand when you're at the beach.

I'm the colorful leaves when fall comes around
and the pure white snow that blankets the ground.
I'm the beautiful flowers of which you're so fond,
The clear cool water in a quiet pond.

I'm the first bright blossom you'll see in the spring,
The first warm raindrop that April will bring.
I'm the first ray of light when the sun starts to shine,
and you'll see that the face in the moon is mine.

When you start thinking there's no one to love you,
you can talk to me through the Lord above you.
I'll whisper my answer through the leaves on the trees,
and you'll feel my presence in the soft summer breeze.

I'm the hot salty tears that flow when you weep
and the beautiful dreams that come while you sleep.
I'm the smile you see on a baby's face.
Just look for me, friend, I'm everyplace!

I am so sorry for your loss.  It is just heartbreaking to hear.  Please know, Kaffe's Meowmie, that you are in my thoughts.  You have been blessed by a most wonderous being.  He shared your life for just a short time but look how he filled it with joy and love.  He will always be with you.

Because they live in incredibly unhealthy conditions.  We would be horrified and scream abuse if that kind of treatment was being done too dogs and cats but for some reason people turn a blind eye when it comes to "resource" animals.  Have you ever seen a chicken/egg farm?  Thousands of chicken trapped in tiny cages, in tiny buildings.  How could that not breed disease?

We reap what we sow.

of course they do!!!  They wouldn't be caught dead eating any of the food or using any of the products their country produces.  They know it is all bad stuff!

The gas station owners ALSO speculate on prices. They raise their prices when they can based upon news suggesting others will go up and that means they make a bit more on the gas they already have in the underground tanks. Sometimes some of them get carried away and need to be reported to the State AGs.

When it is localized like this, during a hurricane, it makes me wonder whether gas stations aren't doing it themselves.  To make a quick buck off the misfortunes of others.

We had a situation here a few years back where the gas stations were letting the pump meters run for a few cents before the gas would start pumping.  It was a big deal here in the news.  The state cracked down on it and now amazingly the gas starts running as soon as the meter does.

I just paid $3.55.  I wonder if the gas stations took advantage of the situation to make some good money.  Would Big Oil have been responsible for the price markups or can individual gas stations mark up prices?

I don't know how it all works, sorry.

BOTH can raise the price. Interesting the price of raw crude has dropped from a high of $142 to about $90 a barrel but the price of gasoline has only dropped a few percent. The crude has gone down 30%, gasoline down about 9%.

why the hell are the prices not dropping in accordance with the price of crude?HuhHuhHuhHuhHuh?

db

That is EXACTLY what I have been thinking.  Going up, gas prices seemed to keep pace with the price of oil.  Going down?  Totally different story.  What is going on?
