Just wanted to explain why I'm back to catmom5. I'm going to have to go back to only 5. I'm going to have to let my sweet Teddy go to a new home. CJ has started eating and acting better but she's vomiting what she eats and I can't do that to her. No matter what a lovely little kitten Teddy is, he's more than she can tolerate. When I made the decision to let Bubba and Petey go, I also made the decision that my big guys had to come first, particularly CJ and the two with heart disease. So it is with a sad heart that I share this news. My mission now is to find a wonderful home for my wee one, hopefully with other young cats/kittens who will provide him some companionship. He continues to miss his brothers terribly and I think needs to have a person who is there most of the time or young cats who will run and play and snuggle with him . . . or both. So, mostly wanted to explain why I'm back to catmom5 so you all would know and not imagine . . .

CJ loves to sit on the back of the couch and watch the world go by. This is the first time she's done this in a very long time. Cassie is watching CJ watch the world go by . . . Rascal in the room where she and Jess hang out a lot. Teddy is hanging out on top of the pillows in my/our bed. CJ's not real happy about this either. This is my good boy Jess, who really is being a very good boy. Gracie is still spending a lot of time under the couch. Will get a new picture of her as soon as she comes out for a while. Decided that since Sassy and her kittens have all found their new homes, it was time to update my family now.

The boy kittens have stashed all kinds of things under the bed in their room. (another job for my "to do" list) They have a boogie mat, lots of the big cats' toys, and of course, their own. One day I was vacuuming and one of the boys was backing under, pulling a long tailed something or other between his legs. They ARE so funny.

Simply amazing!! This looks like the kind of decorations they show on HGTV ~ I, too, wish I could see it in person. I'm thinking maybe I can have a tree this year with only one kitten. Thanks,Tesla, for sharing these marvelous pictures. They are certainly what I needed today!

Peace and calm is gradually returning to our family. Teddy is the least active of the boys (actually the girls, too) and is content just to be with the big cats. Someone actually pooped in the living room (to protest the others being gone?) but we'll get through this adjustment.
CJ seems more relaxed and had a good breakfast (hurray) and even Jess is less anxious.
So, I second what everyone else has said to Spartycats ~ you are truly an angel to adopt the boys (not that you won't grow to love them or enjoy their kitten play). I could not have handled sending them to a shelter where they would have lived in a cage. This is a win-win for all of us (I hope Spartycat's seniors come to agree with that . . .)
I think now that everyone is home I will likely start a new thread in the Den for my cats/kitten family and look for Spartycats to keep us updated on Bubba and Petey.
Again, all my itchmo family, thanks for your support, concern, candleglow ~ it's been quite a ride since Sassy first made her appearance ~ and in spite of the emotions, I wouldn't have missed it for the world. I think I'm to the point where I will be able to visit Connie and Sassy and Spice (my former foster tortie girl) during the holidays.

Well, things don't always happen the way you would like them to happen. Spartycats is coming to pick up Bubba and Petey tonight. CJ is simply not able to handle the increased stress of the boys and it has shown today in ways that concern me. I can't keep the boys at her expense so Spartycats has graciously agreed to go ahead with the adoption.
I would like to nominate Spartycats for sainthood ~ for dealing with this crazy catmom and for being willing to adopt the boys.
So, Spartycats will have to keep us posted ~ with pictures and stories, I hope.

KITTEN UPDATE
I am now officially catmom 8!! The kittens have been doing better at respecting the big cats' messages and things have settled down a lot. So, Spartycats agreed to give us some more time to see if things continue to improve here. Bless her heart, she had everything ready for the boys to move in and then to give us more time, that's just amazing to me.
So, for now at least, I'm cautiously optimistic and eternally grateful that all three of the boys are home.
Spartycats, you are one in a million. When you decide to add more cats, they will be very lucky to have you. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you for understanding.
