I would ask the vet about it. It will probably be ok but there could be something in there. After talking with the vet also talk with the pharmacist. I say this because while the pharmacist wouldn't know one thing the vet would know and vise versa. An example is Tramadol. we use it as a pain reliever for dogs and cats. The human version also has tylenol so obviously it can't be used in animals. So I think if you talk to both and tell each what the other said you might have a new alternative.

6  Other/Misc / Off Topic (No Politics) / Removal of Unmoderated Board on: Today at 10:03:27 PM
I also think this was a huge mistake. The name of the board said it all. There was no reason to remove a board that so many participated in. I understand there were complaints but I would think every forum has lots of complaints. After all there is such a diverse group of people. There was also good information there. You had to pick and choose what to participate in but thats pretty much what a forum is all about. Information lost is not exactly a good thing.
7  Other/Misc / Off Topic (No Politics) / Removal of Politics Board on: Today at 09:57:15 PM
I personally think this was a huge mistake. While there was at times heated arguments. So what? It happens in real life too. There was tons of good information. i don't miss all the locked topics but the ones that were there for discussion had a lot of good information.

of course just my humble opinion.

Wikipedia's definition of Flaming (internet). Quote: "Flaming is the hostile and insulting interaction between Internet users. Flaming usually occurs in the social context of a discussion board, Internet Relay Chat (IRC) or even through e-mail. An Internet user typically generates a flame response to other posts or users posting on a site, and such a response is usually not constructive, does not clarify a discussion, and does not persuade others. Sometimes, flamers attempt to assert their authority or establish a position of superiority over other users. Other times, a flamer is simply an individual who believes he or she carries the only valid opinion. This leads him or her to personally attack those who disagree. In some cases, flamers wish to upset and offend other members of the forum, in which case they can be called "trolls". Most often however, flames are angry or insulting messages transmitted by people who have strong feelings about a subject."  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flaming_(Internet)

Boy that sounds familiar. I never could understand why it bothers anyone if someone has a different opinion. Takes me back to high school.

12  General Pet Information / Misc/Other Pet Discussions / Re: Sophers going thru the terrible two's... on: Today at 10:43:43 AM
......even though she is only one.   Roll Eyes  I was trying to brush her this morning and she got really p-o'd at me.  I stopped, got her to calm down, then brushed again, this time she got really mad and ran off.  I thought fine and let her go and proceeded to try and get all the hair off my sweat pants.   Next thing I know, DH says watch out!.  While my back was turned, Sophers came running back and jumped on my back and started kicking and biting and scratching like she was wild. I reached around to try and grab her but everytime I did, she would dig her teeth into my back or elbow etc.  DH finally pulled her off and she got put into "time-out" in the computer room.  Has anyone else had this or similar happen?  She has only been doing this the last week or so, not always jumping on my back.  I know she is mad about getting brushed but good grief, seems like an extreme reaction to me.

That does sound extreme. Sorry you had to go through all that. make sure you clean all bites very well.

Is there anything else maybe environmental or hectic going on lately? They do not like change too much either.

 Shills on the Internet

In online discussion media, satisfied consumers or "innocent" parties may express specific opinions in order to further the interests of an organization in which they have an interest, such as a commercial vendor or special-interest group. Websites may also be set up for the same purpose. For example, an employee of a company that produces a specific product may praise the product anonymously in a discussion forum or group in order to generate interest in that product, service or group. In addition, some shills use sock puppetry where they sign on as one user soliciting recommendations for a specific product or service. They then sign on as a different user pretending to be a satisfied customer of a specific company.

In some jurisdictions and circumstances this type of activity may be illegal. In addition, reputable organizations may prohibit their employees and other interested parties (contractors, agents, etc.) from participating in public forums or discussion groups in which a conflict of interest might arise, or will at least insist that their employees and agents refrain from participating in any way that might create a conflict of interest.

I don't think I have seen too much of this here.
