A Canadian veterinarian's video tutorial on how to handle a cat has become a surprise hit, earning millions of views on YouTube.

Dr. Uri Burstyn, medical director of Arbutus West Animal Clinic and Vancouver East Veterinary Clinic, recently began posting online instructional videos about caring for cats in the hopes of answering questions he regularly hears from his clients.

"I've got three million views on that video," he said. "If one-tenth of one per cent of the people who watch it are motivated to adopt a cat, that's 3,000 cat lives saved.

That's more cat lives than Veterinarian will save in their lives with one stupid video.".

Aww, that second cat is just like Stormy.  Cheesy I really enjoyed that video. He seems like a really nice vet.

I'm in love!   Cheesy

He's got about 10 videos so far.

I hope he'll do one on getting mats out of cat fur soon.   Tongue   There's one about giving pills, giving fluids, trimming nails, and also about measuring glucose levels.

That football carry really works! I’ve never seen that before, although you do have to make sure you get the hand on the backend right on their bum, otherwise they squirm. At least, Taggy, who was experiment cat, squirms. He’s more of a shoulder cat, normally.
